I’ve seen armor and rings but is there weapons we can get too? I could definitely use some daggers.
I’ve seen people in chat say they got weapons.

Have yet to see a good one. I’ve gotten a few meh weapons that weren’t better than what I had. Furthermore of all the armor and conduit’s I have gotten, a good 40% of them have been duplicates. The same conduits 3 or 4 times per character, got 3 shoulders all the same iLvl with the same stats and the only difference being vers/mast/haste/crit, 2 of the same ring which is unique-equip, etc.
Shadowlands has been utterly terrible for weapon and shield loot IMO though I pretty much only play Paladin so I might have a warped perspective.
That said I’m still on ch. 3 of the new campaign because of the hard renown cap so if anyone is seeing weapons, good ones, idk if they are running the new dungeon alreadsy or what because there’s no way they got to renown 44 already.
Yep, got two different staves already.
My bear druid got an INT staff. Haven’t seen an AGI weapon yet for him, unfortunately.
From what I’ve heard/read, you can get gear in all the slots with enough rng blessings. Not sure how true that is, but it seems to be the case.
I dropped a 207 spear on my bm hunter so yes, there are weapons. But they don’t follow your loot specialization. I dropped trinket and ring too. The ring dropped from a normal rare in the old maw. So those rares are also dropping items now.
Yep! I got one on this character and upgraded it to 220.

One day I hope Blizzard comes to the realization that deterministic rewards are ok. Having a vendor that players can pick an item for a specific slot is ok. Being able to target a needed slot for acquisition and upgrading is ok. Having an option on that vendor for every slot is ok.
FFXIV manages to do just that. Players can earn a currency just from running dungeons that they (eventually) buy a full set of armor that’s on par with raid gear. And that same currency, plus a weekly single boss raid for a few weeks, also gets them a weapon that’s only slightly worse than a raid weapon. It’s not particularly fast, but it’s not soul crushing grinds either because there’s a weekly cap on how much of that currency you can earn.
If you played during WOTLK that might sound familiar… because we had a similar system in place with valor. You could earn valor running heroics with a weekly cap to how much you could earn, buy an item for a specific slot (not some RNG token BS) and eventually gear yourself up. heck you could buy some pieces of tier sets and get a 2pc bonus at least!
You wouldn’t be the best geared but you’d be geared enough to start raiding. The selection wasn’t quite as comprehensive as FFXIV is, but it’s still essentially the same system WoW had at its height. If only the would stop ditching the systems that actually work…
But to stay on topic, yes you can get weapons… if the RNG favors you. And yes those weapons are upgrade-able.
