I recently purchased Midnight and completed the Catch-up: The War Within campaign via the Tome of History. I completed all available quests (Wrapper 2 through Wrapper 4), but the campaign state does not appear to have saved correctly.
When checking quest completion, Wrapper 2 is partially inconsistent: the first quest, “Recap: Fractured Visions,” is flagged as incomplete, even though the rest of Wrapper 2’s quests are flagged as complete. In addition, all quests in Wrapper 3 and Wrapper 4 are flagged as incomplete/false, despite having been fully completed.
As a result, several systems appear to be affected:
On my main character, Hashim will not interact, preventing cloak upgrades.
I have “A Dimmed Crystal” in my inventory (dropped from the boss at the end of Wrapper 4: Manaforge Omega: Dimensius Looms), but I cannot accept the quest it offers, suggesting missing prerequisite campaign flags.
On my alts, the campaign skip works far enough to reach Dornogal, but they cannot obtain the cloak, which also means Manaforge raid access is locked on alts only.
Immediately after finishing the catch-up story line, I was unable to fly. Following community advice, I re-did some early beach quests, which restored flying, but caused Dornogal to re-phase, requiring me to clear mobs again. I’m not sure if that was what broke the whole thing or some earlier issues. What can I do now?
While I unfortunately can’t help you much with this issue, though I suspect some here likely will have some ideas, in addition to this post, you might want to try posting this same information in the Quests Forums to see if anyone there has any suggestions.
Thank you. I think I figured it out. Just went back and re-did the Karesh quest line leading to the cloak, but the normal way, not using the book. This seems to have fixed it. The main got access to cloak upgrades and my alt was able to skip the Karesh quest line directly to getting the cloak.
Anyway, the book still offers part of the TWW catch-up quests to the main even though was a 100% complete run. I suspect that the book catch-up quest line was meant to be re-doable, or at least part of it, so it de-flags at the end on it’s own. I don’t know… For anyone attempting to complete the TWW campaign for the first time using the book, don’t. Highly “volatile.” Seems like a good level-up gimmick tho, as it offers loads of catch-up gear.
I’m having the same issue after doing the “book” option. I re-did the quest the normal way, and Harish still refuses to talk to me. I have 2 rishii wrap capes in my inventory, but I’m still unable to upgrade them…
Sorry to hear, I hope you figured it out by now. I was able to speak to Hashim only after completing The Tabiqa quest, which is basically at the very end of the Desert Power storyline. After thatquest, you get to talk to Hashim, also get the quest to kill Dimensius in story mode raid.
