they nerfed the protocol dungeons. specifically the oozes. They now move much slower to the boss so even the dad boomers can react fast enough to kill the right one.
I hate when people say it’s a grind. Like obviously it’s going to be a grind. They’re playing an MMO. I think people forget that. If you want instant gratification then fortnite is available.

They should have made slows and CC stronger on them instead. Make using the utility the right way to do it.
Example make slows roots and stuns have double duration. And if it gets effected by one of these effects it takes double damage until the effect ends.
But, it is a grind. Its not hard, but it is a grind.
You can buy things like bracers and boots for relatively cheap on the AH that lowers that grind, get a 365 cloak for nothing in about 15 minutes, neck right now if you do the valentine boss. But you are looking at least 9250 justice points.
You should also be doing your firelands dailies for some 365 ilvl stuff just need to look to see which ones you should target first which clothies get the short end of the stick kind of.
I would think at least the firelands dailies should reward more marks or the requirements be halfed per quest.
The Tol barad factions should also have a decent trinket. for either a on use trinket, or an equip trinket if you dont want to spend like 30k on one of the other 359 trinkets.
So its not something you can just do overnight which is why people do go full pvp gear to bypass this grind. Weeks to get some 365 pieces or just get some pvp gear which truthfully is good enough so long as you dont skip hit and expertise (if needed). Everyones best stat is either primary stat or something like spell power that comes on weapons.
People are going to go the path of least resistance though so expect it.
haha yeah right. You cant even get people to buff correctly. I buff kings and the other paladin in my group buffs kings 10 seconds later. Completely brain dead people.
or mages spellstealing the buff in HoO. I ask like 10 times and get no response then the person just afks for 5 minutes trying to find spellsteal in their spellbook
luckily our entire guild is dedicating tuesday and wednesday to running these dungeons so we aren’t stuck with 10k dpsers.
At the start of this patch, i geared a character from 316 - 350 within 5 hours, then after i got up to 365 in the next 8 hours, and the final result of 370 took another like 10 because i had to buy rng boxes for the right ring.
That’s nearly a full t11 heroic char, in less than 24 hrs played, from nothing
These catch up mechanics are super powerful, idk how much easier they could make it

How did you do this? Pugging dungeons or did you have a premade group helping you?
If u cant handle the new dungeons because of your gear do the inferno dungeons u can still cap valor and individually que for the twilight dungeons.
This really seems to be the way to go about it, but if that’s the case they really aught to bump the mimimum item level up a bit. They can keep the hour of twilight dungeons at 353 no problem

They can be done on a 366 hpal.

Retail you can instantly go to siren isle at 80 and buy a full set of veteran gear. That’s catch up mode.

Justice Points vendor probably.
If you know what you’re doing I think 360 is solid, but there may be some hiccups depending on the quality of the rest of the group

Its a catch up for the NEW raid, not a new 85. Thats the problem here. Everyone keeps thinking you should be able to skip ALL the content in between. If you are fresh and wanna raid, it should look like this.

Going from fresh to the new heriocs wasnt ever a thing. Going from fresh to t11 wasn’t a thing. Entitlement has ruined the game.
Apparently you need to be 380ish for the new protocols to go okay.
That’s my point. They are designing the catch up mechanism to only be used by players who don’t need the catch up.
I have ran on my 365 boomkin. Valor capped, and got my tier. Along with my whole group being 365 as well. Again, i can almost guarantee half these people have no idea what the new mechanics do. I went in on my 385 blood dk and ran with pugs. Noone even targeted an ooze. Even after given direction, marked the target, called for swap. Tunnel vision and entitlement.
I played og cata and had no issue leveling a fresh alt to 85 buying the boe’s and queing for lfr/twilight dungeons.

a bit of both, i pugged all of the 316-350 portion, then from 350-365 i did it mostly in groups (guildies needed gear) then they got all of their gear and i pugged the final 5 ilevles
