have a champion 415 in my inventory but because it was from a quest and not a world drop or mythic + or anything of the sort it can’t be converted like your kidding right blizz?

I do higher tier content my point is the system is redundant to say the least, because your going to have new players doing that weekly heroic quest and getting t’d off they can’t convert, then walking right out the door they sub’d into because of poor decisions by the devs.

This is how it has worked since the Creation Catalyst first came out in 9.2. I don’t know what you were expecting.

I agree that there should be a better indication that gear can’t convert, so it’s clear. But welfare epics should not be able to be converted to tier.

Well, we couldn’t catalyze quest gear in season 1, so… 
The PvE gear you can catalyze right now:
- Raid gear
- M+ gear
- Suffused gear (Fyrakk Assault)
- Caverns World Boss
Last season it was:
- Raid gear
- M+ gear
- Primal gear (Elemental assaults)
- World Boss
I suspect we’ll have more we can catalyze in 10.1.5, though.
I don’t understand why people think that quest is somehow involved in anything. It’s not a raid piece. The box is just a generic piece of gear. Only the event boxes from Timewalking and Mythic weekly are raid pieces.

Unironically, anybody can be dragged through a Heroic dungeon.
Somehow, don’t ask me how but I’ve seen it, there are people who struggle on +2-+5 keys.

You could acquire piece from a vendor in zereth mortris.
I got my 4 set this week, last patch people where able to get sets from overflow, i guess not this patch
Originally you could craft Blue gear in SL and boost it to 262 then stick it in the Catalyst, for gear… Then in DF 10.0 the ‘non crafted’ stipulation was added…
Its suffused gear locked behind those awesome fyrakk invasion lmao. this invasion gave out a whopping 250 iskaar rep. lucky me there was 2 other people killing the elite that gave the red keys to open the suffused cache.
Weekly heroic quest gear is just catch up gear for people that just hit 70. You can literally breeze through the 5 dungeons in less than half an hour. I don’t think it should be that easy to obtain a piece of tier right after hitting level cap. This is an mmo not fortnite.

You’re probably supposed to be able to convert that gear; it’s just that many things about the Catalyst are not functioning because Blizzard can’t develop the game properly. They said we’d be able to convert season 1 pieces after the re-opening of the Catalyst; currently we still can’t

Nope. The heroic dungeon quest is just a generic piece of gear. It has to be one of the following:
- raid gear
- M+ gear
- Suffused gear
- Caverns World Boss gear
I’m still pretty cheesed about that and they still haven’t said a word about it either.
