Catalyst Console

I don’t know what you are trying to say here.

Ok. So they perceive the gap is larger. What do you feel is contributing to this? What information do you feel makes them feel as though the gap is larger than it actually is?

This is pretty much all you need to know to understand what’s going on.

It’s a minimal thing, and Caps is right to dismiss it as such, but your argument boils down to “lol theyre just dumb”

If you only want to run M+, this gets you tier faster earlier, but makes it more work to upgrade that tier. At least for the average player, who is not going to be doing particularly high keys very early.

No. It doesn’t. I don’t think someone is dumb because they are uninformed on any topic. No one knows everything and everyone has information gaps, especially on content they don’t do.

Ok.

But I don’t see what that has to do with what I asked or what we talked about.

What is leading a person to have the perception that the gap on getting tier is that much larger for people who raid?

Because if you raid, you have three relevant difficulties to slog through (if you dislike it) to also attempt for static, high ilvl tier pieces.

This isn’t about getting high ilvl pieces. The question is about accessing tier period.

You have plenty of difficulties to slog through for ilvl in m+.

I specifically want to know about the perception of acquisition of tier sets.

Does anyone here have any ideas to reconcile the infinitely farmable nature of mythic+ with the fixed loot drops of raiding with regards to tier pieces?

Like sure mythic+ could yield tier, maybe, but it can’t be farmable. So how do you wanna solve that?

It always is. People just suck at explaining things.

That’s kinda why Catalyst exists, if I understand you right?

The OP was referring to getting sets. Not ilvl.

If you want to talk about ilvl. Whatever.

It has nothing to do with anything I said or any conversation I was participating in.

Discussing anything with you is exhausting, you know that?

Yes. Iron curtain, just like how PvP gear works. Raid gear performs poorly in PvP/M+, M+ gear performs poorly in PvP/raid.

Well when put out a topic change on me halfway through a conversation while complaining about others back pedaling I can see why.

It’s because you’ll use any tactic to avoid earnestly trying to meet someone in the middle.

Sorry. I just honestly didn’t know you were looking to change the topic And I don’t know what middle you want me to meet you at.

To put the discussion somewhere you can actually discuss from, instead of just dismissing things and coming off as a jerk in the process. :person_shrugging:

Need folks be reminded that prior to the introduction of the catalyst in Shadowlands, non-raiders would NEVER have tier.

They catch amnesia for this part.

Tier is so easy to come by now, you don’t even have to raid to get tier.

It can come from your vault by doing m+.

This was UNHEARD of before.

Getting tier without raiding used to be non-existent.

Yet they find ways to complain.

The entitlement is so sad to see

But what did I dismiss?

Everyone still has an equal chance

Actually BiS for prot paladin in M+ is both raid trinkets and 4 piece tier. Augury of the Primal Flame and Cataclysmic Signet Brand

These are BiS right now for all content. All of the M+ trinkets are C and D tier with the exception of the Darkheart Trinket and the Atal’dazar Trinket. But as far as defensive S-tier M+ provides those in Galakrond’s Fall and Everbloom. I farmed for the Prophetic scales yesterday and completed over 16 with no drop. So a little frustrating but it must be done if we want to stay competitive.

Interesting when my Vault of 470 gear was all rings and M+ dungeon gear… Not optimal counting on vault every week. So instead I have a bag full of Champion M+ dungeon gear waiting to be converted…
