So who was excited to hear about Blizzard holding more players back but switching weekly catalyst currency to bi-monthly? Pretty horrible idea considering you already have people clearing all 3 tiers of the raid, most players who have time to raid already have 4 piece sets while those of us who dont have time to raid are stuck with puzzle pieces from M+. Just feels like the casual players it being forced to not play at all.
Look forward to hearing all your constructive thoughts on this.

Catalyst immediately but every 2 weeks is a net positive for tier charges as opposed to having a charge every week starting at week 6 for the first half of the season. My entire raid team has 4pc tier already before the second vault, a new record speed.

this was a better outcome to having it open week 1 then down the line

Who has cleared mythic amirdrassil so far?
If this was going by previous catalyst rules, you wouldn’t have any tier yet besides what the vault gave you.
By the time you’d normally hit your 2nd charge under the prior versions, you’ll be getting your 4th piece on the current iteration of it. It’s more spaced out, but it’s 100% a net improvement in terms of how fast you can get your 4-set without any vault/raid drops.
Also regarding casual players and as someone who has NO availability for dedicated raid timeslots, I’ve pugged normal Amirdrassil both weeks so far. This week went especially quick as everything was one-shot besides Fyrakk. Literally faster than most LFR runs I’ve been in.

It’s a strict buff to how quickly you get your 1st 5 charges.

By the time you get your 2nd under the old system, you’d be on your 5th charge under how it works now.

Homies would really rather wait 6 weeks and get 4 charges 2 weeks later than now just so they can have them every week.

The new system is technically slower if your plan involves using 9 or more changes.
It’s faster for 7 or fewer, equal at 8.
Fair point. It’s just there is no incentive to play now. That’s just how I feel with it.

Isn’t the earlier 4pc a better deal, though?
a lot of classes this season are not complete without their tier set because their tier set is just so powerful.
someone classes have even had talent tree reworks to accomodate the new tier sets, so that makes this feeling even more noticeable.
i feel like timegating the catalyst like this is not just fun.
if the catalyst had no timegate, then people who play mythic plus or pvp would be able to get their full tier set in week one just like people who raided LFR, normal, heroic and parts of mythic.
people who don’t want to raid are left with playing classes that feel incomplete.

depends on if your goal is power, or full completing multiple raid mog sets without raiding.

Well I mean technically yes. But Season 2, everyone had an equal shake. Just feels like they are forcing people to raid that don’t want to.
if blizzard is going to timegate tier for non-raiders, then all raiders should be time gated from tier as well.
have no tier drop in the raid whatsoever, only possible to get tier from the catalyst.
puts everyone on an equal footing.

I managed to my 2 piece week one, and the other piece was from the first LFR wing. And I am as casual as you can get.
See and that’s something I can understand.
But ngl you’d be the first I’ve personally seen use the mog argument.
A lot of these just seem power focused.
Yeah I hear you on that, however RNG doesn’t work like that for a lot of players. I ran 4 toons through LFR and lost every single roll.

I guess you missed the part for Constructive comments.
I mean, have you seen the drop rates for tier in raid? a full clear is 7 items total per 20 people, which means you should be getting the required 80 items for those 20 around week 12.
