Cause people are running around in 4 sets, and those of us who can’t roll to save our lives have 1 charge, and that’s it. It’ll take me another 5 weeks to get a 4 set at this pace

Bonus? I call it more like a RNG saver. I can’t win a roll to save my life. Ran a full normal clear, I won 0 items.

Well that cause they removed Titanforge and then deliberately made rng drops for instances even worse cause you no longer have to do stuff for TF to proc .So the catalyst exists for tier loot to counter the rng that they only created in raids . Blizzard is going in circles

The other melee person in my guild is 4 piece and has BiS trinkets.
if you wanna play all day, every day and sit in Heroic raid pug queues, then you too can attain this. The rest of us will just skulk along with our crap loot.

Tier set bonuses are meant to be just that; a bonus. Not the norm or an expectation. And it’s literally just a few weeks! You’ll survive.

I received a set piece of legs in the vault but semi-wasted my catalyst charge by using it to transform a belt. Should have done chest, or one of the other eligible items. When I receive my next catalyst charge I will then get the 2 set piece bonus after using it.
lol, this isn’t a Catalyst issue, man. It’s more of a “the very concept of randomized loot should get devs fired” issue.
IMO, randomness just has no place in loot systems, period. Having randomness in combat is fine, because reacting to a proc is actually one of the only forms of skill expression in this game, but not randomness in whether or not you are rewarded for your efforts. The very possibility of not being rewarded for beating content should automatically get a video game the Concord treatment.

Catalyst was weekly it should of stayed.
I seen a lot get no tier in vault who cleared heroic and all there delves.
seems like its a low % on tier but basically you better hope its in delve slot for 8s or +7 key slot
Also some classes tier is weaker then ilvl. like Hpally i know few others where tier isnt that big its a loss over extra 6 or 9 ilvls.

That’s my life in rolls.
No tier in vault.
Lose every roll on a tier token.
Win a belt, then realize it wasn’t my BiS so I pass it to the next guy.
Lose roll on the next belt that was the BiS.
But at least I got shoulders that will be catalyzed someday.
Still blasting though, even if not getting any drops. Someday, they will all be destined for me because everyone else would already be geared.
I’d love for the Catalyst charges to be weekly to help with getting screwed by RNG. Especially since you could easily have something like a smaller raid group where the only tokens you see drop are for classes that already have their piece in that slot or aren’t even present in the raid for whatever reason.
I’d also love if they would let us use the Catalyst on crafted gear so it’s easier to get the lower tier appearances easier since they still refuse to just give us the appearances for say the Normal and LFR gear if you get the Heroic one. 'Cause, y’know, if I’ve gotten the Heroic piece through whatever means it’s probably a safe bet I’m capable of getting the lower difficulty ones and the only reason I haven’t is because I have to fight with RNGesus over the following:
A) That the piece granting the appearance drops.
B) That I’m in a group where there aren’t a lot of people Needing on gear to make sure they get it even if they have a better piece equipped (we aren’t gonna go into whether or not people should be allowed to, there are points I agree and disagree with on both sides and a lot of it relies on attitude and intent of the people rolling.)
C) That I win the roll against anyone else who did roll for it (again, regardless of whether I rolled Need if possible like everyone else who could to try to get it or rolled for Mog because I had the same piece equipped at a higher ilvl and everyone else also rolled Mog on it.)
I do think if obtaining a piece of gear from a raid gave you the appearance for that piece as well as the lower difficulty ones, it’d help considerably with people Needing on stuff in LFR that is a lot lower ilvl. I absolutely know secondary stats, trinket effects, and getting your tier bonus can and do end up trumping ilvl at times and it also won’t stop people rolling Need just to be toxic or feel like they’re justified in doing so “because LFR is trash/these people didn’t perform well/etc.” but it’d at least curb some of it.
Tier bonuses are the new way to get screwed by RNG. No matter what you do, you cannot compete with those who have the RNG to receive tier bonuses, while you stuck waiting for “1 piece every two weeks”. Yeah, in two months we’ll all be the same - I’m pretty sure I’ll quit before then because I don’t like getting F*(&ed around with
