With all the changes to gear, turbo boost, horrific visions enchants, uncapping of crests. Why are we still only getting one charge every two weeks on catalyst? Make it make sense.

How you managed to get this out of what was said is beyond me.
Everyone has their 4 set bonus, honey. And people aren’t looking for Mythic gear from the Catalyst… they want it for transmog before the season ends.
Let’s try using common sense next time.

Mmm, I don’t think I ever mentioned that I want full mythic gear handouts. My main, completes all 10s/11s to get full mythic item slots in all 3 every week. We’re at the end of the season, while I’m perfectly fine with it being every 2 weeks in the beginning of the season, it doesn’t make sense for them to be still two weeks after they have uncapped crests and turbo boost is active.
I just opened my vault and got mythic track hands but I can’t turn them into tier to replace my H track ones until next week, it just doesn’t make sense this far into the season.

What I would like is if you catalyzed something to Heroic, it would give you the LFR and Normal appearances (the lower tier ones). The difficulty for me is not the Heroic or the Mythic sets, it’s the LFR and the Normal sets. Especially the normal sets since, while I can buy Veteran gear and stash it away for catalyzing in Season 3, I can’t upgrade it then so getting the Normal pieces is a little difficult.
As a collector, I like to have the sets on the classes I play, and some of the Normal sets great, but I won’t sacrifice my catalyst charges when I’m getting Mythic gear from M+ that I may need to upgrade for a set piece, etc.
There are a lot of ways to fix this issue (I think catalyst charges should be every week after the .5 patch starts). Open to other ways to do this.
I appreciate that it exists… the way I solved this in season 1 was I leveled up a secondary character which got catalysts, or used one of my Panderia remix characters (who get charges) and funneled gear to them so they can get the appearances. It’s a very round about way to solve the issue.

Bumping this month old thread because I can’t wrap my head around the stubborn decision of this still being bi-weekly despite turbo boost, despite everyone having their sets, despite sub numbers dropping late in the season, despite several content patches, despite most of the community having asked for this since week 2.

Catalyst is the only way class tier sets can work. Without it there just aren’t enough drops per-raid for every class to get a full set.
See: Antorus rogue set not having boots.
We have a few weeks left. It needs to be uncapped.

Honestly this is one of the biggest reasons i love the catalyst. Now every class gets a complete set of gear and not having sets missing key pieces like boots and belts
Just gather missing set pieces at the appropriate Ilvl. Once the next season starts, catalyst charges are free on last season’s items. Got a few LFR/veterans, normal/champion sets sitting in banks for that occasion.

8 charges so far seasons 2. Gives everyone their 4p sets twice over. Very little “need” now to have more.
If it’s for transmog, S2 will be uncapped in S3.
You can’t upgrade S2 items in S3. You shouldn’t have to hoard items at specific item levels to catalyze in the next season. Blizzard should just give us a break and uncap the charges.
You want a handout on top of a handout, gotcha.
It’s a few weeks before the season is over with. What is there to gain by gatekeeping transmog?
