I already know the bot support isn’t going to understand my issue so I’m hoping an actual support person sees this.
I got a 616 Hero track cloak from the vault and took it to the catalyst to turn it into a “tier” cloak so I could get the last tmog for mythic once it was upgraded. I had 1 charge left.
So I put the cloak into the catalyst and it disappears from my character. Then the “tier” cloak shows up in my bags…except its a Veteran track version, not hero. Then a second or so later… the original Hero track cloak I put into the catalyst shows up in my inventory…so I gained a free item somehow…
Except it actually ate the catalyst charge…now I don’t have what I need and can’t just use another charge and live with it.
If a human support person sees this, I have a ticket open. The Hero cloak is the “Unkindled Waxweave Mozzetta” in my bags, the catalyst gave me the Veteran “Entombed Seraph’s Greatcloak” also in my bags.
So, a few things. Firstly, there isn’t “bot support”, Blizzard doesn’t utilize AI for support tickets. There’s a few automated messages for keywords in high-ticket periods, but tickets are primarily handled through a GM using a template response/form letter. Secondly, there aren’t any GMs on the forums. Support forum agents aren’t GMs, nor devs, and cannot assist with bugs or item issues. Furthermore, this seems more appropriate for the bug forums as opposed to anything else, it’s not something that players would be able to assist with nor a technical issue like an access violation. Lastly, the forums won’t bypass the ticket system. If this is something a GM could help with, you’d still need to wait for your ticket to arrive in the queue for it to be fixed, though I suspect that such a bug would only be addressable by the development team.
