Hi there! First time posting here. I felt I needed to come here to discuss this problem.
I did Timewalking all the weeks, leveling 1 to 2 characters to 80 each week. It was a marvelous experience. I played both healers and tankers. Really fun, really smooth, enjoyable.
Yesterday I logged on my restoration shaman to finish this character’s progression to 80. It was a bad time. Everything was way harder than previous weeks. We had bad time with trash mobs. The bosses would one or two shot my allies. I gave up after a while.
Now. One can argue this is intended.
I don’t think it is. When I say it’s harder, I mean it’s HARDER. It makes no sense to me having what, 5 weeks of consistently the same experience and at the last week things escalate this much.
I am 100% fine with the game developers planning harder content. But this should be clear to the community.
I basically didn’t sign for this experience. I’m not doing endgame stuff. I’m leveling an alt.
If there’s a new philosophy behind timewalking which segregates all the past weeks from this one that I’m not aware of, it’s fine. I will look for something else to do.
But I don’t think there is. I think there’s been a miscalculation on tuning Cataclysm Timewalking.

It definitely feels VERY icky this week for healing on TW this week. I have an easier time healing in LFR on current content than Cata =/
But the scaling is really really off. I’ve been healing all of the dungeons for TW the last few years on/off and most of the time its as you mentioned nice and smooth and an enjoyable way for folks to level up their alts. I just logged in the other day on my druid and its one of my lower ones like 560ish so not super high but has been super fine/easy on previous characters/other weeks.
Trash is basically almost destroying folks in a 10 second window (like casting every single spell I have to keep people topped off) but then they go to the boss and do a few hits and its done? Like that doesn’t feel right.
I typically use the TW to level up characters or up my gear a bit with the 5 weekly dungeons for good gear and I’ll probably sit this one out the rest of the time left because its really quite unpleasant.
Honestly I wish they’d just STOP trying to fine tune TW dungeons. The previous weeks have been smooth/fine. Leave it, stop tinkering (like you said on the last week of this its not something we signed up for)
Also, I can’t speak on tank experience but I can speak on just various healers (hpriest, rdruid, rshaman) are the only ones I typically run on (just several characters).

My lv 79 tank was getting destroyed and needing major cooldowns just for one pack at a time lol. But I think that’s just lv 79 scaling being awful.
Welcome to the world of the 3 stupid people who cry on the forum and in the feedback about how easy temporal dungeons are. Then the development team, especially the Ion group, raises the difficulty level to please these 3 idiots to the detriment of the rest of the players who want something easy to level up their characters.

I think the problem stems mostly from the scaling issues. For example first boss in blackrock caverns chains - if you are at whatever arbitrary gear level / actual level where you cant do any damage, youre just gonna die unless you have 1+ person in the group who is scaled up to compensate.
I actually kinda like that the dungeons have some mechanics you have to do but it makes the disparity between having a lvl 11 twink in your group vs 5 level 79s all the more glaring.

Catering to the elitist few is what Blizzard’s been doing for… 17 years now in this game? Almost like its a company documented policy…
Yeah its way overtuned for the average timewalk enjoyer. Its an absolute PUG killer. Killed so many PUGs this week. Everyone was mad.
lvl 79 is about the worst possible level to be in as a tank in dungeons because your gear and stats are at the absolute worst possible point.
