Cataclysm PvP (Battlegrounds)

I just recently started playing Cataclysm again after not playing it since it’s initial release. I was incredibly looking forward to pvp’ing with my real life friend. We picked horde on Faerlina and reached level 85 within the week to start pvp’ing. It has now been 5 days of trying to queue for BG’s and horde loses Every. Single. Time. I’m not kidding. We haven’t won a single match. It’s not even close. From getting spawn camped to lack of teammates to people just afking in the battleground. Does anyone know the reason for this and also why the larger battlegrounds (Wintergrasp, Tol-Barad) have 120 Alliance players while I’m sitting on a team with 10-20 horde players? It’s a complete joke and I’m done with it.

I’ve lost ab’s as alliance. Horde got lucky…most weren’t calling out crap. Or caring when some like me called it out.

IOC horde loses when druids and rogues don’t do what their 1 one job is. Kill glaives. I’ve had IOCs ours free fired the whole time.

Doors melt like that. rogue, druid, and even bubble boy paladins…have 1 job. Don’t let glaives free fire. if they want to “its pvp!” at workshop…losses happen.

TB fall off the map months into season/phase 1.

Horde would have to say why they don’t do wg anymore.

The old horde guard like me didn’t follow into Cata. The horde you have are basically retail’s horde; the horde that squandered our reputation in PvP that we built up since vanilla.

Meanwhile over in annivers, SoD, and era, Horde don’t get creamed so easily…

Because I’m there along with other old Horde guard standing against the alliance.

If I was doing Tol Barad, even outnumbered as we are, Horde would be putting up a bigger fight.

I’d also like to mention that annivers. low-level PvP is active in all brackets; not just twinks but low-levels and questers alike just queuing for a little fun and I haven’t noticed the twinks going overboard with toxicity against the casual levelers. Plenty of PvP going on if you don’t want to rush to 60 BGs where the METAs turn it into a grindfest.

Horde is just not as skilled at pvp as Alliance.

Because alliance have better pvp racials. Most of the more serious pvpers play alliance, that’s why they fill out the bg’s and win more often

And as if to further illustrate my point, Horde like you are what remain in Cata; thus contributing to the horde’s demise.

Hey, we’ve (horde) been winning Isle of Conquest at a decent clip so that’s kind of nice!

First mistake, and im not even doing the “haha picked the wrong faction” shtick.

Check out the website ironforge pro,

All the top players are alliance.

There is only 3 horde players on the first page for 3s, and no horde players on the first page for 2s. (For ruthless season 10)

You see some horde players for RBGs but still, not really.

Alliance has human racial which is insanely good because the trinkets in cata are also insanely good.

Most better than average pvpers will be alliance for cata, mop, and i think even in WoD. After this i’d guess off my memory that it will go back to being horde favored.

So, in general, if you want to do pvp and actually win, you need to be alliance because a larger % of the players who do actually pvp, are going to be alliance. So if you care about PvP in this already dead game, you’re better off going alliance sooner, rather than later.

Not to mention when you are first starting out, even if you are ally, there’s a decent chance you’ll lose a lot of games because gear does absolutely matter.

Yes please play alliance to be a real og pvp bro so my queue times are instant, ty.

There’s no ally vs ally BGs? Or is that only for Horde.

There is in fact Ally vs ally BGs.

Then I would assume that queue times wouldn’t be an issue.

Queue times are not an issue. Instant is still better than 2-3 minutes.
