I can’t wait for the WOW Cata servers to be released. Vanilla will be cool, TBC will be aight, WOTLK will be meh. But when they add Cataclysm, it will bring back the primo wow we all loved!

Sure, I’d be down for it. Launch Cataclysm was a great expansion. Dungeons actually required CC, the raids were pretty fun. The World was actually active, since the old world revamped the Old World and encouraged alts. If they froze it at release day patch, it’d be pretty great.

But Normal Grim’ Batol was a great introduction to heroics. And I loved Vortex Pinnacle. could have done without Stonecore, but every expansion has a dud dungeon.

Cata was terrible and further ruined the spirit of WoW. I will never play anything Cata and beyond and not even a big fan of many things from TBC and WotLK.

Release patch Cataclysm was Peak WoW.

I could go for a “Cata as it was meant to be” server where the dungeon nerfs never happened and the Neptulon storyline/Abyssal Maw raid got implemented as the other half of T12 alongside Firelands.
And a MoP server locked at 5.2 because we all got quite enough of SoO the first time around, and I miss un-Sha-ified Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Nope, I’m 100% correct. You had dungeons that required CC, Raids that needed a couple of specifically specced classes but were generally forgiving enough to let you slip by. You had an active World community and World PVP events going on left right and center, and you had classes with good rotations beyond mashing one button.

You changed the subject. I’m not saying what Cata did or did not have. I’m saying that I did indeed play Cata, at launch, and I think it is terrible. I also believe peak WoW was Vanilla and some TBC.
