i have a question about how does gearing works in cata:
when the game launches and you get 85 you can do questing gear then blue dungeon gear then blue heroic dungeon gear
so the “pre raid patch 1 cata”:
-heroic blue dungeon gear
-pvp filler gear
did i miss something?

I think it’s just standard questing gear like the other expansion choices. No loss in picking it
You don’t need to get any pre gear. If you have the means to jump into your preferred end game content, you can just do it. No need to stress about getting pre-bis quest gear to get pre-bis normal dungeon gear, to get pre-bis heroic dungeon gear, to do your raids.
Just, find some liky minded folks, and have at it.
yeah i just dont want to be a burden to others and since in cata raids are 25 and 10 mans i think personal responsability might be factor.
i could be wrong.
Normal dungeons will drop 333 gear, which you use to do heroics, which drop 346 gear, which you use to do the raids, which drop 359/372 gear.
They’re talking about Classic.
I was describing actual Cataclysm item levels as they existed in 2010. It’s funny how you tried to contradict me before doing any research.
