I done lots of dungeon finder groups. Been kicked out of a few for no reason. 1 time instant death mid air down a spider hole. We where supposed to jump down. Aks for res in water, get kicked. Collecting quest items lascks little bit behind, get kicked.
The Vote kick system in dungeon finder feels like a bully system that also punish you after getting kicked by 29 minutes cd before can join a new dungeon!
Cata community feels so toxic and dead!
No one ever speaks/type in the dungeon grps. Not even says hi, by or gg!
Comparedd to SoD where everyone interact with each other Cata feels like a solo player game.
Blizzard need remove the vote kick option in dungeon finder, it is just getting abused by a toxic community.
I’ve probably done thousands of RDF groups over the years. I do think Classic is a bit more toxic than I remember people being back in the day but that maybe an overall societal shift than anything specific to the game. People are faster to kick now, but most groups are probably the same as they always were. People always talked infrequently. I still see some people say GG or TY at the end. Sometimes I do, sometimes I just leave.
I do think when I’m on an overgeared healer the groups tend to be less likely to become toxic. I think you’re most likely to be bullied as a lesser geared tank or healer. If there’s one geared DPS or even the tank carrying the groups damage, people don’t usually seem to care about the undergeared ones.
I did pug 5 mans and raids in SoD and people didn’t really seem to talk that much. The most talkative were the negative experiences where a raid fell apart.
I even did Hardcore dungeons and despite the fact that you could die permanently, there was still minimal talking past the formation of the group.
