Hi!

A group of friends and I decided to look for a “dead” server one with 0 Heroic Lich King and 0 Anub’arak logs. After a bit of searching, we found that the Myzrael server had no recorded H LK/H Anub kills. We decided to take this risk because two other groups had gone to the Angerforge and Maladath servers and successfully managed to get a couple of Realm First achievements.

For instance, on Angerforge, ‘Death’s Demise,’ ‘Celestial Defender,’ ‘Grand Crusader,’ and ‘Realm First: LK’ were available. Out of these four ‘Realm Firsts,’ they only got three; the one they didn’t get was ‘Grand Crusader.’ A similar situation happened with the Maladath group: ‘Celestial Defender,’ ‘Grand Crusader,’ and ‘Realm First: LK’ were available, and again, they only received two out of those three achievements. The achievement they didn’t get was also ‘Grand Crusader.’

So, tonight, our group successfully got ‘Realm First: LK’ on Myzrael but did not receive ‘Grand Crusader.’ On all three of these servers, no one managed to defeat Heroic Anub’arak because the fight was too difficult at the time, and these servers had a low population to sustain a highly competitive raiding scene.

After not receiving 'Realm First: Grand crusader or Heroic Anubarak on Myzrael, this led us to the conclusion that the ‘Grand Crusader’ achievement itself is bugged. I would assume the developers forgot to adjust this, especially since even in original Cataclysm, they had to modify it to make the achievement still obtainable without the limited attempt system. The reason they changed it when Cataclysm came out was that ‘Grand Crusader’ still hadn’t been claimed on a significant number of servers, so they gave people the chance to get it in Cataclysm.

I was initially going to post some evidence, but the forums don’t allow links. However, there’s another forum post where a user provided a Reddit post and wowhead comments, both from 2011, that prove this achievement was still obtainable during Cataclysm

I’m also going to post the raid lockouts (IDs) in here. Please take a look into this, as we don’t know when these servers are getting shut down, and it would be a shame to see this amazing title go away unclaimed because of a bug

I also want to add that we managed to get the the Tribute to Immortality achievement last night in our TOGC run. This achievement should not be available in Cataclysm, as it was removed alongside the limited attempt system. The fact that it’s still available in Cataclysm Classic just further supports the point that the instance might be buggy as of right now.

Confirming this is still not working. Have attempted all the work arounds the ticket system has suggested with no luck.

Bump, met all the requirements for server first Heroic TOGC 25 man 50 attempts remaining and did not receive our Grand Crusader title. Please fix

Another confirmation that this Title/Achievement is currently bugged, the Tribute to Immortality achievement was awarded along with the Mount, during this runs completion 6/12/25

Adding to this thread since it seems to have had the most traction, the Maladath group for the Trial of the Grand Crusader started at 9:03 PM Sunday, May 4 (EST). We don’t have a raid ID to post but can provide a video of the run in full with a warcraft log, I would expect the instance to not be difficult to find as the server is entirely empty. This character was the one that participated in the run but has since server/name/faction changed.

Just wanted to add something else to this post. It’s easy to assume and think that if you don’t get a realm first achievement it’s because someone else already got it, but the fact that the exact same scenario happened on three different servers is very strange. The Maladath group got Realm First LK and Realm First Celestial Defender, but no Grand Crusader? Again, on Myzrael, we found zero H Anub kills and zero H LK kills, and we managed to get LK, but no Grand Crusader? There is something strange going on here.

Another bug that is currently easy to replicate on the Cata servers is that if you manage to clear TOGC 25 on heroic with 0 deaths, you get the Tribute to Immortality achievement, which shouldn’t be obtainable anymore.

This particular achievement led us to believe that the dungeon is currently bugged, which is why it’s preventing the Grand Crusader achievement from triggering.
