Cataclysm Chromie bugged?

So I made a brand new character, a Dark Iron Death Knight, the quest sends me to Chromie to select a timeline. I go to Chromie in Stormwind, select “The Cataclysm” and a quest pops up “Cataclysm: Onward to Adventure in the Eastern Kingdoms” that sends me to find a “Hero’s Call Board” in Stormwind.
At the Hero’s Call Board I only see “Wetlands”, “Duskwood” and “Hellfire XXXXXula”. Neither of those three choices are Cataclysm. The first zone in Cataclysm is Vashj’ir. I get it the zone is level 30, but why is the choice there at Chromie if you can’t do it?

AFAICT, there is still some minimum level enforcement even with Chromie time. The Cata campaign is apparently restricted to level 30 or higher because some of the quest progression requires flying, which you can’t train until then.

The first two “vanilla” zones are actually not vanilla, since they were heavily reworked in Cata, to the point that they’re technically Cataclysm zones.

I assume the third offering (Burning Crusade) is just a filler, but it also a viable alternative since leveling there doesn’t require flying.

I knew I was missing something, that was the piece.

Yeah I played the original Vanilla zones back in the day, I know they changed allot with Cataclysm, sadly. What would be really cool is if using Chromie and other time dragons, you can reset all the “Vanilla” zones to their true vanilla state.
That and I would love to get Rhok’delar and Anathema in Live, I have those on my EU account which I played from Vanilla until Cataclysm when I moved to US.

Every now and then I find that I miss those zones as well. Personally, I think it’s just nostalgia, but nevertheless…

It’s been asked for. I would guess it’s too much for the devs, but they did unlock pre-Cataclysm versions of some dungeons, so who knows?
