I’ve googled the heck outa this and can’t find the answer. Will we be able to loot a cloth or plate on a hunter as an example, and the item will be registered? Or will I need to lug it around until the option xpacs later becomes available?

Yeah, sure, when we get TWW Classic if Blizzard gets it to work when TWW comes out.

You are wrong, and being very confident at it. What you’re describing will happen with the next expansion coming. It has never worked like that before.
I’ve tested on beta. Copied a character over, paladin, after looting cloth item on wotlk and after the account copy update the piece was there. I thought this was always the case. If im wrong then myyyyy bad lol.
