[Cata] When turning in "The Maelstrom" you instantly die

The first breadcrumb quest for Deepholm gets you to talk to Thrall at the Maelstrom. You turn it in and you sometimes instantly die. Blizzard fix your game

This just happened to my lvl 82 rogue. I did not experience it with the 6 other characters I did this quest on. The biggest difference I can think of is this was my first time doing the quest on a rogue.

Edit to include:
Steps taken-

  1. Accept the quest Deepholm, Realm of the Earth in Stormwind.
  2. Click the portal to the maelstrom.
  3. Arrive in the scenario location next to Thrall and immediately die. Combat log doesn’t say how. Just “you died.”
