[Cata] Instant quest text is autoaccepting quests

  • Happens on Cataclysm Classic
  • Having instant quest text enabled will also auto-accept all quests. Happens on every character I’ve tried so far. Disabling the feature means you have to click Accept on quests again, but obviously that means you have to wait for the quest text to finish loading…

I have almost the same issue but a bit different.
In my case, even without instant quest text enabled, the quests are being auto-accepted.
I’m still looking for the cause or if it’s a general bug.

Do either of you use the addon Questie?

I do, but the Auto Accept/Complete options are both disable.

I was able to fix this by completely uninstalling all copies of Questie, deleting all SavedVariables files for Questie, then RESTARTING my computer. None of the above worked until I restarted.

I had the same conditions, but the auto accept still happened until i disabled Questie outright. So I suspect the bug is with Questie.

Go to your Auto tab in Questie and set the auto modifier to Disabled. For some reason even if you have Auto Complete + Accept turned off, questie ignores this until you turn off the auto modifier as well.
