Got into a group for Cata instance and it broke. Couldn’t start the event and people were stuck in combat even though there was nothing happening. 30 minutes in queue lost.

Yea, Chromie was a no show. I’m thinking because we had people somehow in combat.
Not only is it broken and Chromie is a no show, its handing out dungeon deserter for leaving a BROKEN RAID!

Got in to two instances where this happened, and the second time it gave me the dungeon deserter debuff when I left. Both times there was no Chromie, and at least half the raid was in combat upon zoning in. Sitting in queues for over 3 hours for that to happen was really demotivating.
I’ve encountered this same bug twice. Currently sitting out a deserter debuff to try and run the cata instance for the third time.
Same. Both Cata and Wrath that I joined didn’t have Chromie with a full group. A lot of people are leaving and getting deserter because of it.
We were stuck in combat and Chromie was missing from the Cata event as well.
Showing as being in combat. Chromie NPC is missing. When leaving dungeon group you become a dungeon deserter and cannot queue for 30 mins.
I also ended up getting the debuff.
Also reporting this. Entered the cata instance and was stuck in combat and Chromie was not spawned.
Yep. Dungeon Deserter. For leaving a bugged raid.
the entire cata event looks bugged and untested.
Kept getting teleported back into fire on the Rag fight.

Yes a completely different bug that has been reported in numerous other threads. This one I made specifically for instances that don’t even have chromie to start them.

Yeah, just happened twice to me. Queue up, get in, stuck in combat, no Chromie. Leave instance group, have deserter debuff. Guess I’ll check back to the event when they announced these are fixed.
I’m fairly certain the combat thing has something to do with it. Preventing Chromie from spawning in.
