Now i love leveling in cataclysm, but the dungeon mobs hit so hard and some of the mechanics will wipe your team instantly.
I like a bit of a challenge dont get me wrong, but this is ridiculous.
You think the normal dungeons are hard? Did you do them on heroic before the nerf back in Cata?
Back in the day it was much worse because your healer would go OOM in no time.
You mean they are harder than other expansion dungeons? If this is the case it is another example of bad scaling.
Cata heroics on release crushed the will of thousands of super-casual players. The ghost of over-tuning haunts the dungeons still.
Or, it’s borked scaling as already mentioned.
Other dungeons need to be brought up to the level of Cataclysm.
People aren’t learning to play as they level anymore.
So then don’t…level through them?
Hell, some people at max lvl don’t know how to act in dungeons either.
Depending on the level scaling, some dungeons are ruthless. Legion was so poorly scaled that your tanks would get crushed from most mobs, and wotlk became that way in some dungeons as well for a while. I can’t say I know cata since barely anyone queues for them, but I’ll harp on how really awful scaling is forever until they fix it.
Did direbrew throughout the week. Any time there was a disc priest healer and a low level player, those players almost got oneshotted back to back due to shadow mend damage. super neat.
Cata timewalking is often ignored. Lol
Heroic Deadmines was a lot of fun back then. The Vanessa fight with the mario jump killed so many players.
They’d be easier to get through if more players would use proper mechanics more often. During the last timewalker thing, a Throne of Tides run was painful due to only one player (me on my warlock) even bothering to silence the healers. The other classes had silences as well but they’d just let them cast heal after heal after heal after heal ad infinitum. Some of the older dungeons require we use more than simple pew pew abilities which isn’t a bad thing.
Everything is hard on soft people.
Get out of Cata and level in WoD lol. You’ll thank me later.
Well that’s because you can hit 50 in a matter of days now. How are players supposed to learn advanced mechanics if their leveling experience is basically a few days?
I’m seeing tons of people struggling with BfA leveling dungeons.
Regular wipes on Rezan, Slagmaw, the friggin rune caver and the guy with the orbs in temple of storms.
I can tell you that people aren’t learning to play there either since pointing out a mechanic as simple as “we need to kill egg spawns by running over them” on slagmaw usually causes the group to fall apart.
They were like that when cata was live too, it’s giving you the authentic experience.

I hate WoD leveling I used to love it before it was nerfed but now
I’ll just stay in Azeroth zones thanks lol.
