Across my Guild’s 11 Heroic kills on 25 man we’ve seen a grand total of 1 Crystallized Firestone. Meanwhile, my alt 10 man team has seen 4 with only 9 Heroic kills. Is this just bad RNG or is this not working as intended? I thought it might be RNG until I recently heard other people talking about their lack of drops in 25 man as well.
My guild is experiencing this as well. We have 12 heroic kills in 25 man and I’m pretty sure we’ve only seen 1 Crystallized Firestone from all those kills.
According to Wowhead, the drop rates are supposed to be 11-16%. We’re sitting at 8% which is not statistically unlikely over only 12 kills, but it sounds like something is off if you are hearing of many people experiencing the same thing in 10 vs 25 drop rates.
As for 10 man, my guild only has 1 heroic kill due to a thrown-together cleanup raid on week #1. They got a Firestone on that kill for what it’s worth.
In 10M we’re getting 2 or 3 firestones a week.
We actually got 2 off a single boss, lol.
bumping this because I was about to make a post about it. I think they messed up and gave the 25 man drop rate to 10 man and vice versa. I hear a lot of 10 man raiders say they see on average 3-4 firestones per run sometimes up to 7, meanwhile the most I’ve ever seen on 25m is 3 and most of the time we see 0. Also, apparently flametalon of Alysrazor is really common on 10m but very rare on 25m. I think that needs to be looked into as well.
Yup, my guild has seen two mounts on 10 man and 0 on 25. That could just be RNG. No one can convince me that Firestones on 25 man are dropping as they should though.
Unfortunately, Blizzard just does not care about Cataclysm. Oh well, hopefully Dragon Soul PTR soon so we can try to fish out the catalog of bugs that raid will inevitably have.
