The Headless Horseman’s Mount flying animation is still bugged, it has been like this for over a year now . The mount works fine when running on the ground, but when you fly the mount it looks like it is swimming.

Have to get a bunch of streamers to complain about it, then they’ll fix it.
Either that or figure out a way to exploit it to your benefit…lol
Flameward Hippogryph is doing the same thing, 28 days of dailies for a cool new mount. I honestly feel sorry for the suckers still using it, floating around in the air with no wings flapping, giving Blizzard the excuse to pay even less attention to it. “they’re using it anyway, it’s no big deal.”

Hey all, this is a known issue. There are some reasons why this is taking so long that I can’t really go into (it’s highly technical for one thing, and the explanation relies on internal knowledge to boot) but it’s definitely on the radar.

Surely a multi-billion dollar company would have the resources to fix a simple model animation bug given a full year of time. “It’s more complicated than you think” isn’t a defense given the resources and timeframe. You have a bunch of really smart people working there, I trust that it isn’t an insurmountable technical challenge.
I understand that bugs like this are likely at the very bottom of your priority list because the team probably classified it as “VERY LOW impact to gameplay”, but I think that is a huge mistake. Sometimes it can be the little things that have a large impact on a player’s gameplay experience, like their rare mount having the proper cool running animation.
At any rate thank you for acknowledging the bug.
