How is this still a thing? I think Blizzard just doesn’t playtest their games anymore.
With no Addons I’ve had this annoying message come up for over a week. please fix your game…
Having the same exact issue. Makes buying anything in stacks of more than 1 in the AH almost impossible. I was about to delete everything and reinstall, but after reading the comments here, that doesn’t seem to do any good.
Having this same issue. Doesn’t seem to be related to a specific addon.
Same here. Mouse over stacked items in AH produces the Lua error. I have only spoken to a couple of guild mates, but they are not experiencing this issue.

Bump
Please fix this
I am having the same issue. This happens with or without add-ons running. I have done a complete reinstall of the game.

Been getting this super annoying lua message since Cata launch. I guess Blizz don’t really give a crap about fixing it.
Don’t worry guys, this is to be expected of a small indie game maker such as Blizzard. I mean it’s not like this game has been around for 20 years, you gotta cut them some slack. They are trying their best to put out a quality game.
Bumping again. Still having this issue. One thing I’m wondering is if the issue is somehow system/hardware related since it doesn’t seem to be a software issue judging by some folks doing complete wipes and fresh installs.
Bumping, same issue since launch.
I was having this issue on a relatively old PC that was capable of running Classic WoW smoothly.
Now, I still have this issue on a brand new machine, with a fresh install of WoW, before installing any add-ons.
Have been having the exact same issue. Have reinstalled Cata - didn’t fix it. Also running No addons. So then formatted everything- new install of Cata. Didn’t fix it. Then I thought I will hook up my old computer that never had the issue. Upgraded to Cata and BAM there is the same identical error issue. So I can get on a totally different computer and login with my login and there is the error. So I am guessing server issue rather then the end user. So now what ?
I am having the same problem
this error is triggering my autisms every day please fix
Having the same issue. I’ve removed all addons, reset the UI by renaming the Interface, Cache, and WTF folders, ran a scan and repair for WoW install, and still getting the error when hovering over anything in the Auction House with more than 1 in the stack.
Can we get some eyes on this Blizzard? Really, there’s no excuse for letting this go on for so long.
If it’s any help, I have two accounts. It is happening on this account, for all toons. On my other account, it is not happening at all.
So can we please get some eyes on this?
This worked for me, but there are consequences… you’ve been warned.
I had the same issue; /console cvar_default should resolve your issues. This will reset some of your settings for your interface so you will need to turn on things like auto loot, fix UI scaling, etc.
