Casual PvP is amazing so far!

Are rewards the only thing that’s fun to you? It honestly sounds like you don’t like the game based on this.

I’m talking about how gear discrepancy automatically pigeon holes you into a losing streak. You’re at a massive deficit if you wait any significant period of time. Sure, those players outweigh you in skill, but they also severely outweigh you in stats.

Bring up the PvE element doesn’t help your point. PvE is meant to be a grind. PvP is meant to be a demonstration of player skill. Imagine if Street Fighter had you grind items to beat other players. Imagine losing to other players not because of your skill, but because you haven’t invested into the same RPG grind as them. That sucks. It’s not fun.

I’m allowed to have my opinion.

I will never stand in front of your right to be filtered. Carry on gamer.

It was only 4 months ago Blizzard removed the conquest cap due to all the voices wanting it which they obliged but now they need the time gate metric for the new expansion and these suckers are eating from the palms of their hands lol

Does everyone being at a slightly higher ilvl make the game that different for you?

I will say this much, they really nailed a lot of things with pvp so far this exp and im all for it.

Gear normalization was LONG over due, and the fact that i dont have to go up against people that are less skilled by just are carried by the fact they got boosted to 1800 is amazing right now.

Solo shuffle is great, its a wonderful way to bang out honor for rated pvp to get my vault unlocked. In fact solo shuffle as is, feels great now that its rated and rewards conquest and honor at a reasonable pace.

This is the fist exp since like…man i cant even think of when, that i do not feel super pressured to play. Its actually fun and not sweaty.

Thats not why they removed it. The removed conquest cap because that season was cut massively short, if they kept the conquest cap in, you would not have been able to get a full set of conquest until like the last month or so of the season.

i mean dont have cap on running them but very limiting cap on valor/upgrades.

similar to you in pvp i would assume.

He’s trolling, don’t entertain him lol

I wanted to switch entirely to PvP full time but now I am forced to do other activities if I don’t want to play now casually due to the conquest cap, so it feels bad.

The wall is like really far out if you only play as a casual. I don’t think I can hit the wall if I tried!

So, OP is correct that PvP feels amazing if you are a casual player, but the players that only want to PvP don’t share the sentiment, hence the Blizzard post 4 months ago which stated they were finally listening to feedback and removing the caps in shadowlands season 4 and now the same cycle is repeating itself all over again. How ppl cannot see this, I don’t know.

The gearing system is 1000x better than BFA and shadowlands combined (Upgrading pvp gear was the most dumb decision that could have come to WoW). It’s simple, effective and makes pvp enjoyable again because it’s not determined on who has the best gear or not. Hopefully it stays this way and blizzard understands this is what we asked for.

Feedback listened, now feedback reverted. GG.

If PvP is fun, then it’s not an issue right? If it’s not fun, then what’s the point of gearing for it anyway. :dracthyr_shrug:

You know what’s more fun, actually getting rewarded for doing it. :slightly_smiling_face:

What is the reward that keeps you going after fully geared? What you’re saying doesn’t make any sense. You hit a point in any system where you aren’t able to spend your points on anything.

I’m genuinely curious what you come up with

I just checked and looks like full Honor gear is enough to participate. I think that’s good, otherwise one would just be always "the target " due to the Solo Shuffle’s win condition of “Someone dies, round over”

Honor gear is easy to grind, specially with epic BGs

I can understand tona degree lets say current bg gear capped at 411.(up from 340)
Now u get 1350 conq a week. (382 upgrades to 424 in bg arena).Thats maybe 1 piece of gear an u cant earn anymore. Now with GV we have a chance to get new pieces so 2 pieces per week.
Stats do very much matter ours rings get a 600 stam buff in pvp an bg situations. The of the gear does as well. So we end up with another 100k+ depending on class an talents.
So we go from 200k hp to roughly my shaman hits 400k buffed.
Sorry for this slog.
Now for PvE thet have uncapped farm an lets for arguments sake say 411 is the cap for you guys. You can spam run m+ also 6 spots in vault for extra gear upgrades.
At this point you guys can farm all needed gear between 2-4 weeks I know because ive done it last few expacs.
It becomes a stat issue an how fast we get our higher end gear. Overall it would take me much longer to gear as im capped when some pieces cost almost the full conq i can earn a week.

The conquest cap has been a thing for like fifteen years.

It’s to make sure people who have tons of time to play aren’t rocketing ahead of most people on ilev just because we can hammer out more games in the first few days.

Nah, most stuff in terms of systems are very popular right now.
