game is so scuffed.
last night i kept getting super undergeared healers on my team.
our team was just getting crushed in the opening team fights left and right
sure does suck that i get punished because somebnody else decided to bring their fresh dinged toon into a BG and take up a healer spot with it.

It is happening a lot on both sides. I also see some 30kers sometimes even showing up in Solo shuffle.
I have zero issues with people doing what they want in the game, but it stinks when they go in there, get picked on and then tap/out bail when they get lit up each and every round lol…
Don’t get me wrong, I liked WoD gearing a lot and am glad they are trying a similar route in DF. That’s why I made that thread in the CC forums requesting it to come back and didn’t ask for templates instead. I just wanted to be clear that templates, while they had issues, were fine for the most part.
Hopefully the DF changes will take the best parts of WoD gearing and make them better. Looking forward to seeing how it shakes out when they add gearing to alpha/beta.
Yea this is false.
You can be as casual as it gets and get at least the 1.8 gear, now if you don’t want to participate in any form of competitive pvp that’s fine, DF is reverting to the WoD model (unless they somehow screw it up, again) and there will be basically no reason to complain regarding gearing.
Gear progression is 100% needed but everyone should be able to attain it. PvP gear shouldn’t be locked behind rating. I do think some PvE gear can be BiS like Tier sets etc to add flavor. However the gearing path should just be easy and clear so you can get BiS quickly then YEET in PvP.
It’s possible to mess that up.
First problem is the PvP vendor. There is hardly any PvP gear on it. They removed most of the PvP gear from BFA in SL. Where is the Haste/Mastery or Crit/Mastery PvP gear? Sorry but Versa is super boring and no one makes builds with it.
Then with the return of Talent trees to make builds it’s in our best interest to hit desired Haste/Mastery/Crit requirements for builds to compliment the new talent trees.
They just need to remove Versa it’s in the way of fun and gameplay. Bring back Resil as a 3rd stat on PvP gear.
One thing BFA did right was there were so many ways to play the game and so much PvP gear to choose from. You could stack Mastery/Haste or Crit to the ceiling in PvP. Way better than now.
For once, we agree Abom. Trash versa, bring back PvP resil. Hell they can bring back reforging while they are at it.
If implemented correctly, yes, if not, were back to the illusion of “choice” again, which is why we got the build-a-bear-workshop talent selection in the first place.

If you just want to be able to log in and queue without playing the rest of the game then WoW ain’t it.
yes it is. players have to not subscribe to the endgame nonsense with its massive grinds and rating requirements and just partysync for pvp fun.
You are still giving them your time and money. The only appropriate way to protest is to unsub and avoid the game completely.
The whims of the elitist player fanboi-base. True “elite” players have zero interest in stomping undergeared people in random BGs (with a few exceptions). It’s the fanbois who want to think they are as good as their heros that do that.
Well, here is the kicker, you ready for this?
I’m not even a fan of reforging. In fact, I absolutely hated having to reroll stats on gear to make the piece of gear itself optimal. You know how annoying it was to grind out honor/conquest gear just to have it rerolled? I loathed those weekly grinds in MoP.
So, now you or some reader is wondering “why the hell would beehotven suggest bringing back something he hated?”. It’s actually quite simple really, the developers need to go back to their roots. This build-a-bear workshop customization is the problem with WoW. I have never seen so many cookie cutter builds in all my years of playing. In fact, I am shocked people can’t load armor/talents the same way hearthstone lets you copy/past decks from some online site. Yes, that is how far WoW has travelled from its roots.
I wish they would at least change the great vault to conquest from ALL pvp or something instead of just honor from rated pvp only

They already said that it was to avoid upsetting and confusing the casuals.
Well the Warrior trees are a massive step in the right direction. Having Wrath/MoP feelings about them. Whoever made them needs to design every Class tree and it seems the other classes are behind in development.
The fact that we have so many abilities now and ways to build for Warriors is a fantastic job on the trees. Being able to take Impending victory, Stormbolt, Shockwave, Double time all at once when before it was an annoying choice. Thankfully these are available to all now. Then with different nodes can focus on bleeds, Aoe or various builds it’s a great move in the right direction.
Again the problem then persist on Min/Maxing (Gear availability) Since depending on Talent choices we might want Crit/Haste or Mastery.
Versa should of never been a Secondary stat. It should of been a bonus stat. Since it enhances builds. Versa is a worthless Secondary and doesn’t belong because it does nothing for you mechanically to make a build. We make our builds with Haste/Crit/Mastery.
In order for PvP gear to be function correctly again with the return of Talents we NEED Resil because we need a 3rd stat on all PvP gear that isn’t in the way of Haste/Crit/Mastery.
Holding gear changes till Dragonflight will only continue to have SL as the worst participation of any expansion. SL has the worst player metrics in ever area for a reason. It’s by far the worst gearing expansion and worst convoluted systems.

you got to learn that the game is just bad and low cost hobby. Then you got to learn that forum chats are 99% full of players that think they know what they are talking about. After that you will realize you just need to unsub.
“They’re listening to us!” That’s why we have a new season with the same worst system as all the failed seasons in Shadowlands, because the pve developers are happy about it!despite not even playing the game’s PvP.
