as a paladin, I jsut bubble if i feel I was extra-stupid and am by myself in a cornfield with 1sec left on cast…
There’s one in Legion, the Wardens dungeon. There was also a raid boss in Legion, IIRC, where you had to run around in the dark.
No one talks in dungeons. What do you think this is a MMO?
The things that get me is “Dodge Thors Hammer”.
The names of spells and affects and abilities mean nothing to me.
“Red circle, good or bad?” is my level of playing these things. I don’t even know the names of the bosses, much less the names of their abilities.
It’s all colors and shapes and such. “When he says “Here be a reckoning” run to the green bubble”. Stuff like that.
There’s The Boss and The Trash, and circles and waves and stuff on the ground.
It was spooky.
I don’t understand this. The game is designed for the most talented and fastest of learners, who take a quick look at the dungeon journal before doing their first attempt, on mythic+ of course. People who learn by doing are at a major disadvantage.
I learned classic, BC, and wrath dungeons by soloing them while leveling after I joined toward the end of MoP. That wasn’t a realistic possibility for Cata and MoP dungeons. And now it’s been completely removed from the game. Yes, I can hopefully find videos that will show the dungeons. But for many dungeons it seems there are no walkthrough videos. You don’t get to see a run. You don’t see the trash, just the bosses, and good luck figuring out which way to go while stopping and looking at the map.
People absolutely learn by doing not just watching a video.
It’s why tons of bosses take many wipes.
Pugs make tons of massive mistakes all the time.
Thinking players watch a video and have the fight perfect are out of their mind unless it’s content so trivial you can wing it and not fail.
Of the few in that list that i actually have done, ive never attempted anything higher than Heroic.
I still fail them sometimes.
