Casual players influenced too heavily by jaded public opinion

The casual player base is plagued by a constant barrage of jaded opinion via twitch streams and youtube videos.

I think that the overwhelming majority of popular wow youtubers and streamers are ripping into the game daily because they have played it nonstop for years and this isn’t their favorite iteration of it. This has built up to an influencer hivemind where they won’t allow themselves to enjoy the game for what it is anymore.

I don’t think the game is in its best state but, in my opinion, it is unreasonable to convey that a trollin weeb game with a jank story like ff14 is better than wow.

People whose livelihoods depend on this game are of course going to moan when it is worse than it used to be, but the game is still really fun imo

do you think the game is fun? if no, then why are you reading this?

Game is fun, the story telling for shadowlands sucks. That’s what the majority of stuff I’ve seen has been. The gameplay is great, love the dungeons and the raids, but the story is just the same stuff over and over again.

i like the current version of the game a lot and the way gameplay works feels way more accessible than it used to. pros still have room to distinguish themselves but it seems like it’s way easier for new players to figure out why they lost games than it used to be

Lol. Yep, it’s all just casual players being influenced by streamers/videos they most likely don’t even know exist. Apparently, nobody is capable of forming their own opinions based upon their own personal experiences.

Casual players aren’t quitting WoW bc of streamers/videos. They’re quitting bc the casual experience is terrible.

Game currently isn’t that bad. I am having a pretty good time. Overall it’s in a average state and I can live with that. M+ are really fun, though I am not a fan of the new S2 mini bosses. They feel too easy. PvP, granted I have only done 2v2 doesn’t feel that crappy. Most matches outside BM/Healer felt pretty winnable and only lost due to my mistakes.

I hate this word and how overused it is, I wanna throw it in the pile with “cringe,” and light it on fire.

You have an awesome name.

Welcome to human psychology. I mean, it’s everywhere like that.

It has a reason why we call people who stream, upload videos and stuff, influencer.

Me dumb orc me unable to form own opinion about state of game me watch YouTube no blame blizzard for it’s bad systems and lack of communication. Must be community fault at all cost no blame blizzard me smart.

The idea that the game is fun because it’s fun for You (a clear wow fanboy considering the part about Final Fantasy) and you discredit EVERYONE else’s experience with wow as just “influencers told us how to feel” is so unbelievably stupid and insulting.

Is thIs bropium? Calling people on the internet “bro/my dude/my guy,” in order to numb the pain of having no friends in the real world? Not sure how these cool kid internet terms work.

A few hundred thousand watches the streamers, but millions leave. This statement in OP is zebrapoo.

We read this because we want it to be fun and we’re emotionally invested in this games success.
