I was recommended the Castomatic addon and would appreciate it if anyone knows if it complies with ToS. It would be great to hear from a GM.

Simple answer, if it casts for your in any way or automates anything it’s against TOS. If it’s just a lightup button to tell you what to press and when, then it’s safe to use.

I think addons on curseforge are reviewed to make sure they comply with ToS before they are published? I feel like I read that ages ago. Maybe it’s a reactionary thing and they take it down if reported though. Not 100% sure.
Anyway, seems to me like the addon is just using the concept of /castsequence macros but with some weakaura-esque logic tossed in. Don’t know why you’d ever want to use it but it’s probably fine.
(It’s not automation, that’d be a hilariously blatant ToS violation.)
Generally when it comes to addons, Blizzard will change the API to break it if they don’t like what it’s doing, rather than chasing after users of the addon.
