Cautiously going to watch it. Really hope miss “slavery is bad” is off her soapbox this season. In a country where vampire aristocrats are plotting to take over the world, her rhetoric about what happened across the Atlantic ocean was really tone deaf to the situation and has left a very bad taste for me.
Olrox was a far more interesting character and I’m very interested what he will be up to. Shout out to Drolta’s immaculate looks. She really slayed in more ways than one.
The return of Dr. Gaius Alucard, who is around at this point in the timeline, and more Juste gives me some of hope. You could say it Harmonizes my Dissonance.
Fun gaming facts: Maria was an unlockable, playable character in Richter’s first game Rondo of Blood. But was cut from the US release of SotN, Rondo’s direct sequel.
Like Arcane’s Silco, Edouard is an original character for the series.

I forgot what happened in season 1 so am watching it again and remembering how lame it was in various ways… I’ll probably watch season 2 out of boredom and it being fast to get through.

Updated: Watched S1 over again to bring myself up to speed. It was as junky as I remembered except I had forgotten a certain cool character returns at the very end. Made me much more interested to watch S2.
The S2 story line and character progression were MUCH better than S1. Apart from the eye-roll concept of “French Revolution is cool uhhuhhuh” it was quite a good season. 8/10
