It won’t encourage enough people to make it even close to balanced, raiding on Horde works since there are drastically more players, so even just opening to doors to swap freely is kind of faulty since you’d still want to be Horde anyways.
Because I believe it is leading to design choices that ruins the game for players like me.
Can you give some examples of these design choices that are made soley & specifically for the RWF?
Mythic raiding is definitely not an e-sport.
So you just wanna sit around and be wrong?
It’s far deeper than just “some examples” and has to do raid design, class design, system design, community perception…
Like, I don’t have the desire to get into it right now.
At the pace it was going I doubt it would have ever reached it until you could farm like pre legion raids.
I forget exactly why they said this but it was in place at least since Legion. I think because people kept asking for it so they set up a goal for Horde and Alliance to meet the numbers first to open it up.
I am willing to bet though it has something to do with the World First race etc. I know it may seem dumb, but the race is actually a pretty huge event and don’t want people forming like a dream team of people from all other servers or something.
The problem is Blizzard doesn’t actually manage WoW China, that is handled by a company over there. So they have very limited ability to really police what is going on and honestly, I doubt they care. They are probably happy that is helps unlock the Alliance side faster and they don’t have to deal with embarrassing questions about it.
Blizz is giving them a wink because it solves the Alliance HoF problem. Without it, Alliance wouldn’t clear 100 for several months.
Well I think we were already in the 90 range before this all started up. So it might have took another month or so.
I thought the Chinese guilds added thirty ranks?
Not sure on the total count they added to be honest but I don’t think the article made it out to be that many.
If there’s any truth to this netease is looking into the boosting
Huh, so that’s how they fake their GDP numbers.
I don’t think there are any examples of how the the in general, at all, caters to RWF over everyone else.
None.
Heads will roll because the boosters logged the fights. Not because they broke the rules. Let’s not fool ourselves with how redhanded mistakes get treated over there (especially in light of events in the past year). Meaning never let the boss man know if something is wrong and especially don’t let bad news reach their desk without going through chain of command.
That would require Blizzard to have a backbone and stand up to China. You know full well they are not going to do that.
We all know them doing that would cause gross negative exaggeration/outlash for all other IPs as well.
Literally blizz is screwed. They could have just never marketed WoW or their games to China in the first place, but they knew that their products would be pirated eventually. So they opted to deal with captors by accepting licensing fees from netease (or whoever) using their products than get nothing.
The Alliance has never won a war. The Horde has lost and won every single one of them… to themselves… every single time.
