I don’t know if it’s only me, but all my casters perform way worst than my melees.
Changing it so that casters can cast while moving would help with this, I’m sure.
And it would make casters a lot more fun to play too! What do you think?

I think you want to play a hunter.
Okay sure and how do melee get compensated?
I feel like the game would feel better if there was 2 types of cast. The default would allow movement but slow ur speed. And then for really big spells you would have to stand still.
WoW players discovers what makes different roles different.
If casters can move and cast by default then melee should be immune to slows and snares and be able to fly
I think they should just give 1000% dmg amp to make up for our lost uptime and lack of intelligence
You get this with Hunter and Fire mage to a degree. Warlocks get a pet and a good amount of heal abilities.
That is the difference between casters and melee indeed. There is a slightly higher skill floor for casters. Positioning is key.
If you only ever played melee, it’s going to be a rought start. That is the way casters were designed though and it’s a core part of their gameplay. There is no need to change it, it just requires practice and knowing the content you’re doing. (That can be said for all roles actually.)
The one ranged class that tops the charts can also move…proof that my solution works!
And no, melee will not be compensated. They’re doing twice the dps my range are because they’re always in the action with fast casts.
Try playing melee with all of the BS we have to watch for. We have to breakdance while range gets to waltz.
Misconception. Its #1 in prepatch. Prior to that, they were not… like at all.
Funny enough, casters (esp mage) almost are always near the top.
That’s because hunters are essentially ranged melee, and MM can only partially move and cast.
Also because you can’t dps isn’t justification for your bad idea.
I have to disagree with the higher skill floor. Range can hide their inability to move out of bad things far longer than melee can. Melee also has to worry about being in range and positioning.
Mop was pretty great.
Why should they?
beastmaster is prettymuch a ‘caster’ and is firing on the move…why should mages have to stand still?
With unlimited melee range and immunity to boss cleave.
When a melee has to move to avoid ground fire they can still dps while moving.
One move of the wrist and one click of the mouse and it’s done.
When a caster does it it’s different. They have to stop whatever they’re casting, move, and cast again.
Not very fair.
Ok let casters move but nerf all of their damage by 30%. You still want that deal?
AGAIN BEAST MASTER is pretty much a caster…yet we dont here you whining about reducing THEIR damage lmao
