Jaina in BFA thru cinematics and raid fight is very much a mage and very cool thematically.
Kael’thas in SL questline is insane as fire mage as well
Mage class with their spells/abilities don’t really feel anywhere near the same vibe
I think more people would actually play mage if you actually felt on same tier as Jaina visually or thematically

They don’t. Nothing they do feels good. Well, maybe instant blizzard on aoe pack into frozen orb but even then spamming lances feels kind of jank. Class is just kind of…eh. I don’t know. Feels off.
Ya. I think if mages were released in 2023 as a hero class they would be a lot flashier and prob more like actual ingame mages lorewise
Imagine having jainas, khadgars or kael’thas toolkits and spell effects and mog choices.
Warlocks i think out of all casters most resemble their lore aesthetically and gameplay wise
