Cast Soothing Mists while moving

Blizzard, can we make this happen? If you did this, I think more people would enjoy Mistweaver healing.

Absolutely not.

That would be cool, but whenever this comes up I just think people are relying too much on soothing mists. It’s a bit of a noob trap really. I don’t know your talent setup but, I’ve seen times when I’m on an alt that MWs will be specced out for fistweaving and never get in combat range.

(in pvp)

no. channeling soothing and peaking to vivify is just (not good gameplay); just EF and/or boneudst for renewing renewing mists if u want to do something like that. its already crazy enough that expel harm goes through LoS and out of range.

and more people would play mistweaver if people actually knew what they were talking about when it comes to mistweaver.

but instead we just ask for dumb changes that would make mw beyond broken like 20% wall on cocoon or baseline eminence.

If we’re going for broken can we have mistwalk back?

Absolutely not v2.0

I guess it would be good for PvP? You never really use SM in PvE anyway.

Would be super broken for PvP. Dipping in and out behind pillars to hit instant cast, unstoppable heals.

When it was in PVP, it made MW a god tier spec. They just channeled it through a pillar and got coffee as it passively outhealed everyone. They do not need this so…

No v3.0

Why?

SooM should literally never be in your bars. It is always faster and better to hard cast. SooM is a useless spell.

Yeah I love Soothing Mist! It was the main reason I started playing Mistweaver. It’s very nice this week to use it again while I run from Spiteful shades. Any improvement to this spell and make it more useful would be awesome!

Uhhh SooM literallt stops healing the moment you move, plus hard casting vivify and EvM is faster than casting SooM on the target.

Lol this is the worst advice ever posted on the forums.

The only time you don’t use soothing mist to heal (in PvE) is if you’re spot healing with viv. Any time you’re healing a target with more than one spell, or if you want to cast enveloping mist, it’s faster to channel and cast.

That isn’t true, unless the target is going to be taking dmg over a few seconds it’s always better to just hard cast. It doesn’t end up being faster to soom into ENVM either, it never has been. You can look at a lot of raid logs and see soom is rarely if ever used so what he said isn’t exactly wrong.

We are suppose to hard cast Enveloping Mists??? I have been doing the SooM into EnvMist from some advice I read somewhere.

You should only soom into ENVM if the target is gonna be taking continued dmg, I’m pretty sure there’s a whole section on peak devoted to soom

It’s .5 slower to use soothing then enveloping, that’s true, but you probably wouldn’t cast envelop from soothing without the intention of using something else afterwards anyways.

If you want to raid heal with Yulon and get breath out on as many people as possible you’d hard cast enveloping on everyone.

Edit: and what he said is very wrong. You’d never take it off your bars.

You are 100% wrong. Not even remotely close.

It’s actually slower than .5

It’s 1.5 it takes a gcd

Soothing mist is a 1 sec gcd. Shorter than the usual.

Keeping giving out wrong info. It’s helpful.
