Case in point: Some people are absolutely stupid

To Blame Trump, what other reason would there be.

Man, I was so upset with the Last Jedi I didn’t even go see it.

Oh boy, if you thought that was bad.

I mean, during a plague outbreak in England in the 17th century people were sealed in their houses if they were thought to have come in contact with carriers and villages practised self-isolation to prevent the spread to other villages, even if it meant the death of most of the people in the infected village :man_shrugging:

Shaming people who would rather be safe (or people who have to be safe because they’re immunocompromised) isn’t really the way to go.

I spoiled myself because I didn’t care, yeah I know it was a dumpster fire.

9 was so bad it made me hate abrams enough to see what the original star treks were like, as I never have before. That amount of spite.

regardless the affects of gobal warming in the modern era are mostly coming from one area of the world. Eastern asia.

Activists shouldn’t yell at the rest of the world when we have already been working towards a better energy solution.

What.

There’s a difference between people who are scared and people who are genuinely in danger. There is a selection of people who should definitely stay in side. Those who are immunocompromised are among those.

Clearly LFR is to blame!

If that’s not how you intended it, that’s how it’s coming off as. Calling people who just don’t want to catch it “scared”. I’m not scared of sh*, I just don’t want to get sick with a deadly virus. There’s a difference.

How is it a darwin award if you have little chance of getting seriously ill let alone dying unless you are elderly?

I mean, I’m not shaming people. If you’re scared, then you’re scared. There’s nothing wrong with being afraid of something.

Not really. With that being said, no one wants to get sick. The virus also mostly likely won’t kill you, unless you’re 90 or immunocompromised. Beyond that, you could also already have it. You might just not know it. Even if you do get it, remember, it’s still up in the air, but there’s a good chance you’ll never get it again after that. Better to build the antibodies.

Don’t put words into my mouth. Don’t assume that I’m being rude or “shaming” people for using the word ‘scared.’ I’m being sensible. If someone is afraid to go outside, they won’t and they shouldn’t.

Again. The rest of us can go outside and live our lives.

While China remains the world’s largest polluter, It has pretty heavily pivoted towards investing in renewable energy. In 2018 they spent $91.2 billion on renewable investments. They are also currently the world’s largest producer of wind and solar energy.

I wish my country took renewable investment as seriously :frowning:

This is actually pretty uncertain currently, not only are there increasing reports of people getting reinfected but the WHO has recently suggested that only 2% to 3% of people who were tested for COVID-19 actually have antibodies.

Were they tested after they recovered from the virus or not?

That’s what I said.

You’re going to be really bummed on Judgement Day.

I have long been wary of mass use of solar power considering the enormous amounts of land they take up

But I’m also an advocate for nuclear power as it seems the most effective replacement but people get scared by the word: “nuclear”.

I agree with you on Nuclear, but there’s deserts and complete scrubland and desert that aren’t economically useful that could easily host large solar tracts.

Mix in Wind power and Hydro where you can and baby you got a stew goin.

Because funerals are prohibited.
