Wow they really screwed the pooch with this one. The boost has been proven it will be harmful to the games economy. Now they are adding store mounts? If you are opposed to this like I am, I urge you to not play.
Blizz needs to be stopped. Some changes. We don’t want this. The boosters who want it after seeing MadSeasons hour long video clearly have brain damage, we can just ignore them. If enough of us oppose this by simply not playing, (not just a handful, like half of us) I’m sure they will get the picture.
Or maybe not because they are a bunch of greedy corporate bastards who would sell their grandmas liver for a penny.
Edit:
@ Faelis - A Madseason shill? You mean someone with enough brain cells to rub together to form an opinion upon seeing evidence?
@ Trangofoxtrot - Oh is that right? So it’s okay to just throw in more stuff that will be harmful?
@Cauchy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFfdUJk_CIE - Maybe if you did some… research you’d realize the harm the boost will cause. As for store mounts, a leak buddy. Maybe you should, keep up with news? Oh you’ve seen the video, then clearly it all went in one ear and out the other?
@Maully - That’s how science works right? People can make Math say anything, like the human race will turn into Unicorns next year
The only thing “proven” harmful to the economy is the WoW Token.
Heck seeing the template characters on Beta, which I assume are what the Boosts will look like, they’re pathetic. This isn’t some “skip Azeroth and get an easy ride to 70” like it is on Retail. This is “congratulations you got to skip Azeroth, but enjoy dying in Hellfire until you get appropriate gear.”
Pretty much. The quality of gear the 58s get will be terrible blue dungeon set with terrible stats. Their killing speed on normal, at level mobs will be terrible until 65+ when most of their gear is replaced. Then and only then will they be on an even playing with everyone except for AQ40 and naxx geared toons.
Location is huge when it comes to consistent connections to a server.
Connecting to a server requires you to connect through multiple routers otherwise known as hops. These connections can sometimes be unstable or inconsistent.
Connecting to a different server and getting a better ping could just be due to it being geographically closer to you.
So basically, what I’m hearing is that assuming the beta template characters are what level boosted characters are going to look like, the actual challenge getting into TBC will be getting out of the boost gear, rather than the leveling slog
Oh no I mean the client runs smoother, my ping is actually 35 ms higher. What i’m talking about is the server actually running the game smoother with the same settings. It could be that it’s because BC itself has some code upgrades.
Wrong, but I’ll go with it for the simple reason that rets put up with the most hate of all the meme specs. At this point I feel it’s only fair that they’re allowed to crush everyone in PvE and PvP in the interest of karma.
Ret is underpowered now, but hugely fun, so nay-sayers can suck it.
During TBC, it wasn’t uncommon for me to global mages (especially if they didn’t have PvP gear.) Sure, we had our limitations, but if we got hits in, they hurt.
When 3.0.2 hit, I had a lot of fun as ret. I racked up 65 WPvP HKs in one evening while farming in Nagrand. We eventually got what was due.
There was never this many people complaining about gold buyers and how it affected the economy of wow.
I have always found it funny that they now care about the economy but the past year and a half of gold buying they are silent. It is just a weak argument against boosting that is being repeated over and over again.
