Wrong, a problem a lot of people had.
Entering an arena. Wanting to play. Someone just loses on purpose for points. I just waste 5 minutes. Do I get points? Sure. Is that why i’m quing? no.
All i hear is that you are angry you won’t ever hit the rating required to get that gear. get gud is an easy fix.
if you can’t hit the highest mark someone else can why do you think you deserve the same rewards? this isn’t little league, you don’t get participation trophies.
I already said im fine with a rating requirement. Im not okay with how steep it is. The top 2 or 3% of pvpers shouldnt be the only ones who can get the last tier of rewards. Its not like that in PVE so why is it like that in PVP?
And again, its not about ‘git gud’. I consider myself pretty decent. But the top end of arena is going to be endless teams of the most overpowered classes / comps. As a Ret paladin, how am I supposed to overcome that? Im going to get brick-walled due to class design, not lack of skill.
Theres plenty of good pvpers out there who deserve a weapon and shoulders at a more reasonable rating. When you say ‘git gud’, you’re really just saying, ‘be the top 1%’ - and thats impossible for a lot of people for all the reasons previously stated.

The top 1% is 2500+. 2k is maybe top 10%
I could be talked into a less steeper rating but gear is not meant to be easily accessed.
Also you’re very naive to think every single team at the top will be fotm cookie cutter. Lots of people will try new things and make new comps work from experience and friend availability.
too many people getting free gear doing nothing but losing and making the other team not have a good time. #runonsentence
If this was you then you were hardstuck at 1300-1400 where the losing/reset team people were. Assuming you got “fed” points you’d be out of their bracket in like 4-5 games.
Stop exaggerating.
That being said enjoy the dead season when the 90th percentile drops out because they can’t even hit 1700.
Why make up fake numbers? https://luduslabs.org/sotl
Less than 1% will hit 2200. 3% will hit 2050.
Keep in mind they have cross queueing and no teams further increasing the pool size. They also have full sets of barrier rewards and more goals to reach which results in some participation.
Yeah people, when they are trying to get points and win games…
They rEalLLLyyyy rillllly hate it when they win a game in 20 seconds…
You’re funny mr grey parse.
Fine with me. But it’s hypocritical to say 90%. If I can’t exaggerate neither can you. Weird assumption to think everyone thinks just like you and will quit just like that over something minuscule.
Gladiator is 2400 most seasons and it’s top 1%.
If no one gets the rating, then it’ll be even more fair with gear!
I didn’t say it was me. But it’s happen before plenty of times. I’ve played a lot of seasons mind you. And it’s not just me. Most of the pool will get 10 games and stop playing. That means most will do this lagging most of the games.
If you all can use most so can I!
Did you even go to the site I linked? Look at the %. Top 90th percentile is 1734 in 2’s and 1785 in 3’s.
Arena is on life support and if you think it will be any different in TBC you’re mistaken. Putting rating on gear that high when the PVE content is so easy to do means no one will bother queueing.

I am in agreement arena in SL sucks and no one plays. That’s my point all along. It’s not a good comparison for TBC because so many are coming back for it.
Classic double the subs active for blizz. Tbc will triple it. More will play arena jn classic tbc than have since maybe wrath.
Also SL PvP ratings are an outlier and not a good comparison base for any season before it. They totally changed how seasons worked.
Do you think there will be more people playing TBC than there were on Shadowlands launch? I don’t believe it will even approach that type of number. Then factor in same server teams, no cross realm queueing, and you have to be on an actual team. You’re going to have a dead arena season almost over night.
Very pessimist opinion to me.
Again. Look what happened to classic. And classic sucks. And I still played.
SL didn’t kill wow. Was was dying in legion. That’s why they did classic. To revive it. Tbc will recover more subs than anything else they can do.
How is it pessimistic?
You have the Shadowlands MMR model but none of the other systems in place that help it. You dont have cross realm queueing and you have to be on a team.
Then compare the difficulty of raiding to pvp in shadowlands. Mythic raiding is actually difficult so the pvp gear is also difficult to obtain (2100-2400). In classic TBC the T4 PVE content is so easy that even grey parsing morons will get carried to their best in slot. Meanwhile pvpers have to get into the top 1% and 3% for their last pieces.

They are doing cross realm qs.
Source please.
Of course all realms are tied into 1 BG. Live is also 1 BG.
If you’re talking about playing with other people on different realms then no they arent.
Cross realm means Qing against other realms.
On top of this, Blizzard also revealed their won’t be Battlegroups, which was actually just a hardware flaw back in the original Burning Crusade. Now, it’ll be region wide, everyone versus everyone in the arena. But a new problem will arise, how to handle Rank 1 titles. Blizzard has states they’ll probably be going with a percentage based system to reward the highest ranked teams. Hopefully we get ranked leaderboards back as well!
That’s from wowhead.
Why would you expect to be able to que on a team with someone from another server if you can’t raid like that.
There’s no LFG so how would they even do that.
