(yes i know this isint the warlock forums but i dont care nobody talks there)
so we are losing seed of corruption for aff warlocks in favor of Malefic rapture. so im not sure cause i cant find anything about how im going to mass spread corruption.
MR also just dosent feel right for aff as it makes it feel like burst spec instead of a sustained DOT spec. most of my damage being from MR and not the dots them selves.
The problem is everything dies so fast, by the time you get all of your DoTs up the mob is dead and now you need to ramp up again on a new target. I enjoy Affliction Warlock the most too, but Mythic+ and raid trash doesn’t support ramping up damage.
i feel like the easy solution to that is just having it like it used to be where SOC would just detonate when it got hit with another instance of SOC
What are you referring to? Wowhead talent calculator still shows Seed of Corruption on the talent tree.
Malefic Rupture is fine. Just use it when you need some burst and don’t use it when you don’t.
Seed of Corruption isn’t going anywhere, what is going away is Sow the Seeds where you end up spamming Seed of Corruption for AoE. You can still use Seed of Corruption to apply Corruption in AoE, only thing that changes is that you will be using Malefic Rapture as your primary shard spender for AoE and ST.
Either way, Affliction has been a burst spec in PvE for a long time, ever since we went from sustained DoT and Drain to build/spend with things like stacking UAs or Malefic Rapture.
I have not been a fan of aff lock since it was introduced to the game.

OP I explained to you 2 hours ago in the Warlock class forum that we are not losing Seed, so I’m not sure why you’re now here in General further spreading that false information.
I cant believe I’m suggesting this because I hate fighting warlocks but they should do what death knights get where anything near the primary target also gets the diseased dot.
