For those who haven’t played Vanilla or forgot about Vanilla and complain about flight, rep grinds, gear, rng, rep quest, slow leveling ,etc.
Why?
Got the beta invite and YEP. Just like it was during that patch. No quest help. No quest area to complete, etc. You have to read the quests and explore and figure out what you need to do without the easy help map markers to show you. Also no “Quest” bar to the right. Killing 1 lvl 1 wolf can take 6 spells to kill. etc… LMAO love this!!
Unless you downloaded the quest helper addon that was made in vanilla.
After millions of downloads it was built into the UI.
And it will be back almost immediately on launch of classic.

Spent an hour or so in the beta recreating Red here in her original form. And… Man it was a nostalgia trip. Almost immediately though things got annoying. No flight points in Sen’jin or Razor Hill, half the quests you get in Sen’jin at level 5 are red to you and the other half are orange so have fun constanly dying trying to do them…
But… Muh true vanilla experience
They will allow addons, sure. But I don’t think they’d do it.
I would not be surprised if someone developed an addon for this, I remember having one in WotLK before Blizzard built that functionality into the default UI.

They will all be there.
Questhelper, dbm, recount, weakaura, etc.
Yeah, what I meant is I don’t think they’ll implement them base line, mostly questhelper.
I’m fairly certain addons will be a thing. In fact, I distinctly remember the addon “quest helper,” during my time playing.
But, you do you friend. I’m happy you think it’ll be funny; however, you might find yourself giggling at nothing. Just saying.

It’s ironic that the game is the way it is because of the fanbase. They wanted flying to be allowed anywhere without restrictions, and the whole nine.
I was talking to a couple of co workers tonight about classic and was geeking out. I kept reminding them of all these things hunters had to deal with, carrying ammo, feeding and keeping you pet happy, dead zones, having and reaching hit caps. Oh I kept getting more and more excited and I kept watching their enthusiasm drain more and more.
