Hey guys i want to know if this is happening to anyone else.
So i recently lost a level 30 character to a DC. It wasnt a normal DC (wont say that i’m used to normal DCs regardless). I was still connected to the sever, or i appeared to be. World chat was functioning perfectly normal with no latency issues, i could also post in the world chat and talk to other players. However i noticed my pet (im a hunter) stopped following me. At first i thought it was weird pathing because i was running along a slight ledge in thousand needles, so i ran back to my pet to dismiss it and continue on my way. Dismiss pet wouldnt cast. So i tried to hearth and my hearthstone wouldnt work, i tried logging out, that wouldnt work. I pressed exit game and that wouldnt work. I typed in world chat (LFG) that i think im lagging. My message was posted straight away and i had people say “oh damm get somewhere safe”. I was not in combat this entire time btw. I had no other choice but to ALT F4. When i logged back into wow less than 10 seconds later i found my character dead on the main menu.
This exact same thing happened to my level 10 druid the next day. I ran out of town to cleanse one of the water wells as one of the tauren quests, i noticed there were no mobs around the well (strange, but i just thought that someone cleared them) so i ran to the well and used the quest item. It wouldnt work, it would just do the casting animation with no cast bar and had no end. Same thing happened, couldnt hearth or log out. And world chat was working fine. I quickly ALT F4 and when i log back in im dead on the character page. Spending 2 hours on a new character and just posted it bags and green gear.
Losing characters like this is not fair. I understand the risk of hardcore and all that. But this has nothing to do with my internet connection nor my ability to play the game. (Hunter death was on my PC, and Druid was on a seperate gaming laptop which was connected to a different internet service at a different house)
