I decided to pick up where I left off in my Vashj’ir questing on my Dark Iron Dwarf warrior after the pre-patch, and I am on the quest Visions of the Past: The Slaughter of Biel’aran Ridge. I am unable to use the Blade of the Naz’jar Battlemaiden to enter the next vision phase. I attempt to use it, and for maybe one second, my character looks like she is about to use it, and you can hear the ruffling nose it makes when you use an item. But, then it just stops and I am not transformed into the Battlemaiden vehicle for the quest.
All add-ons are disabled.
Did a UI reset.
Game is up to date to the latest version.
Drivers and OS are up to date.
I tried abandoning and re-taking the quest, but still had the same issue.
I tried logging out/back in, and that did not work either.
I tried abandoning the quest and hearthing back to Stormwind, to see if I needed to talk to Chromie to do the timewalking campaign. Took the portal back to Vashj’ir, picked up some tricky treats and bobbed for an apple (because yay, Hallow’s End!), took my seahorse and rode back to Wavespeaker Valoren to pick up the quest again and… it still didn’t work.
As a result, I can’t continue my questing in Vashj’ir.
