Bump! Please fix!
Bump, I worked hard to get every Challenge artifact last expac, I'll be damned if my Lock, Priest, and Mage are stuck with these meh looking wands over the badass artifacts I earned

Are.... are you all not even thinking about it? Like... at all? ... A wand is a Ranged weapon... all the artifact weapons for all classes that can use wands are melee... this is like asking to be able to transmog a spear over your hunter's bow.. range and melee aren't mogable with each other.. artifact or not... sorry all but you're not gonna be able to shoot out of your staffs and daggers..
I like the wands quite a bit... i wouldn't say "favorite" weapon type but thats because there is no actual use for it and not many look good. but i do think they should make a spec/class that uses wands like hunters use guns.. would be interesting.
this is not a bug either. they said that its because the artifact is a set item. meaning that the sword and shield are technically 1 item and simply have the appearance of two items.
when we had our artifacts equipped we had each part show up on our character and so each part was transmogable. but now that we aren't actually using them, you can only transmog your weapon to the actual artifact (so in the case of a demo lock, for example.. the ACTUAL artifact was the skull off hand item, the dagger that came with it was merely apart of the artifact's set).

For example, I can't use my hidden artifact appearance for my shield, but use a different Tmog for my main hand. Is this a bug? Why was I able to do this in Legion, but not now for something that is purely cosmetic?

Bump! Can't believe it hasnt been fixed yet. I worked so hard on my Lock's 3 artifact challenges, i want to use my destro two-hand appearances

Okay so this is pretty ridiculous. I worked really hard on my artifact appearances, and like people have said before, so many quests, dungeons, etc. are rewarding wands as MH weapons. I just honestly don't understand why we wouldn't be able to mog over them. I get like not mogging a gun over a dagger but if I can mog my staff over my mace, a wand should be no different.
Please, please fix this! Us casters are begging you to let us use our weapons we worked so hard to earn.

I suspect we can't transmogrify wands because they interact differently than other weapons with their "Shoot" ability. I'd much rather have this ability disabled if it means I can transmogrify my wand.

I am facing this problem too. This bug is game-breaking and prevents me from playing.

This is still an issue for my mage. It is only for wands as all my other toons can xmog anything with artifact appearances. It is only wands that will not work. Please blizz, can we get a response on this or an eta on a fix?

I hate this too but it's worth noting that it's an intended bad design decision and not a bug. There's no ranged attack animation for staves, swords, daggers, etc. I'd rather they get rid of the shoot autoattack ability or get rid of wands totally
