Same problem, always correct knife, it says invalid target in all three version of Argyr, i didn’t try the others, but it seems have the same problem

i am having the same issue. i have tried several times. i even destroyed the knife and did the whole thing over and nothing works. i was hoping it might get fixed in the maintenance today but it is still broken.
Just Tried after reset 3/18/2025 still not working …
Can confirm still happening as of today. I have the correct finished knife, the cast bar casts but at the end turns red and says “invalid target.” Have tried on all 3 Thornspeaker Ritual Knife targets (Argyr, Astera, Liliuna).

Yep, they’re all broken. Even tried on a level 70 hunter that was still technically in Dragonflight Chromie time and didn’t work. I doubt this will be fixed.
Still broken. Got this toon to level 80 just for these pets and not even a mention from devs that they know this is broken. I was so hyped for these pets and now we can’t tame them anymore. I renewed my sub for these!
Putting this toon on the shelf indefinitely (and likely letting my sub lapse) because I don’t expect this to be fixed.

As of 6/23/25, I tried again to tame Liliuna, and it worked! (Then I accidentally killed it)
I clicked the knife a couple times and nothing happened, so I had given up and was walking away when my Freezing Trap triggered. I figured it was the (original) cat respawning, but turns out, it was actually the Drust version of the cat! I don’t know why it didn’t work right away, but it did in fact consume the knife from my bags and spawn the drust version. I confirmed with Argyr and Astera that they are tameable again too.
