So am trying to catch up, I just plowed my way through all the current War Campaign (at least its greyed out and says “to be continued” )
I don’t really know what to do or where to go next…
I searched google but hot-damn is it a mess…I can’t picture starting new content should be this confusing, anyone wanna help direct me in the right direction?

In order to start your legendary quest, you will have to do the starting quest for Nazjatar to open the portal. Once you have completed that, you will see Magni in Nazjatar with a quest to go back to the chamber to upgrade your neck to lvl 50 and start the quest to get your first essence for your neck. Once you completed that, you will get the initial quest for the cloak.
The Cloak quest chain is not tied into the War Campaign.
To start the cloak quest chain:
- Unlock World Quests
- Unlock Naz’jatar. The quest should pop up once world quests are unlocked. If not, you should be able to get it on the boat. The quest to start it is “The Wolf’s Offensive” (A) / “The Warchief’s Order” (H).
- Complete the quest chain to unlock essences. Magni will show up with the quest “Essential Empowerment” in Naz’jatar once you’ve established your base there. The final quest needed in that chain is “Harnessing the Power.”
- The start quest for the 8.3 questlines should pop up the next time you enter Boralus/Zuldazar (or relogging can trigger it.) The quest is “An Unwelcome Advisor” (A) / “Return of the Black Prince” (H).
the one i have after doing the quest to upgrade the neck to 50 is "“surfacing threats” that’s in Uldum . other then that I have no idea about others to get essence
Looking at your character, you already have done the first essence quest which is for the crucible of flame. You are in the right direction to getting your cloak.
thanks for the reply, I just finished unlocking world quests in Nazjatar, do I keep doing stuff here? or go back to Uldum?
Just keep going with the quest you had. Once you finish off “Surfacing Threats”, you will get another quest from Magni “Forging Forward”. Just keep continuing the questline. You will eventually get to the point where you go back to the Hall of Origination where you will see a corrupted area in which you will end up losing all sanity and faint. This will start the quest from Wrathion to head to Blackwing Descent in which you will do a scenario type to get your cloak.

Once you have the cloak, you will get an initial run of the vision and then you will be able to run them provided you have the required resources to buy the vessel to run them.
The questline to actually get the cloak can take a while. You’ve got several scenarios to get through as well as completing the current invasions in both Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
