Currently doing Loremaster on this character by doing each expansion in order of release and the TH is the last zone I need for Cata but for some reason I can’t start it. picked up the quest from the board, talked to Saurfang and nothing…
Is it cause of Darion outside preaching to the masses to get me to visit the Shadowlands?
First, check Eitrigg for the next quest (Machines of War.) It got moved to him in BfA and is easy to miss.
If he doesn’t have it, it looks like there are a couple things to try. First, if you’re eligible, you can try turning on Chromie Time for Cataclysm. That might force any phasing over to what you need. (If your character is 48 or 49 and you haven’t started Shadowlands, you can still activate Chromie Time if you abandon the Shadowlands quest and very quicky turn Chromie Time on before the Shadowlands quests pops back into your log.)
If you’re 50 or above, then you’ll have to track down what’s messing with your phasing. BfA quests are going to be the most likely culprits. If you haven’t done any BfA stuff on the character, you may have do some of it. Some of the Wowhead comments mention doing the whole intro, but one mentioned you could just get the Heart of Azeroth to get your phasing right. (Go to Silithus and talk to Magni in the Heart Chamber and you should be able to get the quest for the heart.)
Had to do both BFA and SL intros to unlock the quest with Eitrigg. Annoyed me greatly but it’s done, and I can now continue clearing expansions while moving towards SL. Will probably reach lvl 60 before I actually start questing in SL lol.
