Can't start Taming in Kalimdor

Varzok doesn’t have the quest to start this available. Checked on other characters and none were in the quest chain.

I have the same problem. My achievement shows I already defeated Cassanda Kaboom but I can’t get the continuation quest from Varzok. Did you find the solution for this?

I’m surprised that a GM replied to me and offered a solution. Apparently high level characters cannot see the quest anymore. When I looked into it with my new hunter, I still couldn’t see it. So I decided to create a NEW character again. Still I couldn’t see it. So I did a couple of quests then out of the blue I can see the quest marker on my map! Wowhead does not mention this to on their guide.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION:

Have a character at around level 17. I don’t know how low it can be, but I’m sure you won’t see it at very low levels.

This is the part of the pet battle quest line I’m stuck on as well, but Kwarto’s solution isn’t working for me. Tried making new toons, but Varzok won’t give them the quest after Kaboom either. It feels like I’m locked out of pet battle tamers account wide.
