Can't skip to Oribos at lvl 49

With the xp buff I find it strange we can’t skip tp Oribos at lvl 49 and start doing torgast? Can yall hotfix this to not happen especially with the xp buff?

Can’t do timewalking at lvl 49 either.

Nope. You need to be 50.
If you’re 48/49 you are forced to do the Maw intro. Then you can get to Oribos and choose Threads of Fate.

It takes a hot minute to go from 48 to 50 so I don’t see the problem.

Doing the Maw intro once is enough. Any more times is either masochism or a punishment.

Yep.
I did it 3 times on launch day and it had sucked the life out of me. x.x

I was stuck at 49 and couldn’t use chromie time. I had to bear the annoying shadowlands intro. Whoever made that helm quest and the Jaina dialogue quest without skip dialogue options >.> that makes the shadowlands intro very horrible.

If you can’t time walk go to the BFA expansion areas, that will still get you to level 50, just killing mobs there, or picking up a quest or two you might not have done.

You can also take up archaeology, a handful of digs will get you to the level that you need to skip the intro.

Oh I already leveled to 60. I had decided to bear the intro. Currently there is a 50% exp boost. It ended up getting me to Jaina around when I hit 50 and I skipped it midway.

Threads of fate plus 50% makes it nice. I just think they should remove the limitation or make it lvl 48 like the intro quest.

The skip part also doesn’t make sense since it says it doesn’t want you to go to the maw, yet when you do the quest you go through the maw at lower levels. Skipping to Oribos with threads of fate lets you skip the maw and go straight to torgast/and or start leveing through crafting and quests.

I found this limitation to be quite idiotic since you get the breadcrumb to go to Shadowlands at 48. If there is a skip, you should be able to skip it immediately.

How were you stuck at 49? There are tons of quests in BFA to get someone to 50 before you hit SL.

Plus after you do SL once, you can skip the intro maw stuff completely. You do have to go back to the maw later for a few quests though.

You cannot skip The Maw at all at level 48 or 49. This is the issue.

The skip explicitly says you must be level 50 to take advantage of it. You are given the quest to head to The Maw at level 48 regardless of how many quests you have left in any zone.

Yes, but you can hang out in BFA for a few hours (or less) and get to 50.

Not necessarily. If you’re in Chromie Time while still 48 and 49 and don’t try to swap expansions, you can stay in Chromie Time.

That needs changed, though. It’s stupid.

I was stuck there forced to do either shadowlands intro or bfa stuff… when I wanted to just skip to oribos or do chromie timewalking.

Then the quest breadcrumb shouldn’t appear until you’re level 50. A little consistency is all that is needed in the game.

Either don’t present the quest until the character is level 50 or let the character skip the Maw at level 48 when the quest is shoved into their quest log. I shouldn’t have to travel to another continent and try to find quest breadcrumbs for a couple of hours. This just causes frustration among players.

You need to make sure you’re in Chromie Time at level 47 in the expansion you want to stay in, so that when you hit 48, you can stick with Chromie Time. You aren’t forced out of it until 50. But if you hit 48, you can’t swap expansions or it just kicks you out and you are forced to do the Maw.

I’ve already deleted a character who couldn’t get back into Chromie Time, because I hated the Maw that much. >.>

I guess I don’t get how you were “stuck”. Just because you are offered a quest doesn’t mean you HAVE to do it. Ding 50 then do it. If you already accepted it, then Abandon it.

I agree. Or at least give people the option to be in Chromie Time until 50, like it’s supposed to be.

A maw mount works in the maw intro

Makes it so much faster

Depends on where in the SL chain they are. If they turned in the first initial quest, you’re screwed and can’t really do much else— even when you hit 50.
