Can't skip the intro campaign quest after already completing?

Long story short i had all my alts do the beginning quests to the war within and set up to start in dalaran on tuesday once we had access to our remix characters. I finished leveling my first 80 and log on to an alt to see that I have to complete the beginning quests again(Visions of azeroth) in dalaran.

I just had a buddy log on to his alt, and was able to completely skip this whole portion of this questline and take a port to silithus to skip this. Did i do something wrong by trying to make sure i was ready for the early access and complete that starting questline?

You don’t need to do the Dalaran quests about the Harbinger on alts if you completed the campaign and leveled to 80.

When you get the quest to go to Silithus (the actual start) you can tell Thrall you seen it before and it sends you straight to the capital city.

There are two different skips. One skips the pre-patch quest and dalaran attack. The other skips the campaign.

The former is available in the chamber with Magni.

The latter is done by talking to Brann, i believe.
