Been gone from the game since MoP and just started playing again today. Currently in Draenor and I can’t seem to be able to skin anything or acquire the skill to do so. When I go to my skinning skills, it lists all the old content I’ve played under learned, and shows Legion and BfA under unlearned. Neither list has anything for WoD, and the skinning trainer doesn’t have anything either. Any help would be appreciated.

Kill skinnable mobs around your garrison/starting zone. Eventually a " A Guide to Skinning in Draenor" will drop that teaches it.
IIRC, you ca still skin without having the tome but get no skill ups.
I’ve killed a bunch. Guess I’ll just keep on killing and hope for the best. But I haven’t been able to skin anything yet. And yes, they are mobs that should be skinnable.
You may also want to ask a guard at your faction hub where the LW trainer is. There should be a skinner and a LW supplies person near him in case they now allow you to purchase the tome.
I’d put in a ticket. It’s possible something bugged out on your character.
