I am unable to select World of Warcraft Classic in the drop down menu. Its not even listed there to select! I’ve opened and closed my launcher, it hasn’t tried to update at all. What is wrong? Thank you!

It’s a completely separate install.
Is there a Launcher update, you haven’t taken? Check the bottom.
Just above the big PLAY button in the Bnet launcher there should be “Version”, the drop down menu there should have an option for classic.
Do you have an active subscription and have you downloaded/installed it? If not, you need to subscribe and download it - then you can create a character.

I do have an active subscription, and when I click on the drop down its not listed at all. I just see my account name.

The one next to that - It should say
Version --------------------------------- Account Name
World of Warcraft ------------------ Name of Account
you need to update your App. Then, restart. My friend had this problem today

There should be two drop down menus’ The one on the left, is the one that switches you to classic, and the one the right is your account name ‘WoW1’
The one above the play button is the one that switches to classic. You might need to download classic.
I already told him that, but that still doesn’t explain why there is no option to download it directly from the drop down menu between WOW and WOW Classic.
As said many times above, to the left of your account selection, there is a “version” selector, use that and switch to “World of Warcraft Classic”, then you’ll need to download things.
go to bnet and reinstall the launcher- i had the same problem and sure enough the launcher was out of date- even if i checked for an update on my launcher it wouldnt show, but when i reinstalled it just downloaded the current version.
if youre positive your launcher is up to date, check your firewall settings in the control panel and make sure that blizzards stuff isnt blocked. hope this helps

if your launcher doesn’t looks like this…it needs to be updated.

Thank you all! I am in the middle of reinstalling the launcher. It only has one drop down menu, and every time that I try to search for an update it tells me I am up-to-date. Hope it works!
